I believe that only people who have a libertarian bent or live down in the poorer section of town know and fear swatting.

I'll bet that the majority of R's and probably D's consider the SWAT team a bunch of good guys just doing their jobs and that you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet.

Massie and MTG are good friends. They help each other hold it down with the no-roll-call congressional votes where they pass bills with like 15 people there.

Even if MTG was a flaming woke leftist, which she obviously isn't, it would be good to have her there just to help hold our reps accountable. She is 1 vote out of 535, so she probably isn't going to be a tie breaker on anything, so the views matter less than the fact that she is one of 3 or 4 people who help hold the entire congress accountable. The goods news is she almost always votes with Massie.

If you can't see the value in that, then I dunno what to say. It's pretty obvious why she is being targeted.

Yeah I know MTG did thank them. Thus there was an implied “also”, but I suppose I should have made it explicit. I.e. “She would probably also thank the police.”

“Swatting” is in the popular vernacular now because everyone understands it can easily involve the death of the victim. The Dan Crenshaw-Liz Cheney wing of the GOP would compliment the police. I long ago came to the realization that excessive praise of the police and military comes from the people who despise them the most, but want them on “their” side. They are useful idiots to them.

It doesn't matter the flavor of the authoritarian. When they believe that force is on their side, they are all in. Thus the Democrats now support the FBI, CIA, IRS, etc. Not much different than in the former East Germany.
