Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., told reporters on Friday that she filed a motion to vacate House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., accusing him of having "betrayed" the "confidence" of the House GOP Conference by ushering through a bipartisan $1.2 trillion federal funding bill to avoid a partial government shutdown.

Johnson won the gavel in late October after his predecessor was ousted by a motion to vacate resolution earlier that month.

"It's more of a warning and a pink slip," Greene told reporters after filing the motion. "There’s not a time limit on this, it doesn’t have to be forced... But I'm not saying that it won't happen in two weeks, or it won't happen."

No worries for Johnson though. Democrats promised they would support him once he went to the dark side.

She better start wearing shorter skirts.

Otherwise, if Trump gets in, she might get the Massie treatment.

More of this. Keep smashing Republican politicians that help Democrats destroy our country and bankrupt our future generations.

Please do it. I'm loving the civil war that's currently taking place in the GOP. Provides a lot of quality entertainment.

"Over five months ago, we witnessed Hamas brutally attack the Israeli people. Unfortunately, the situation in the region has only gotten worse. Now more than ever, we must support our ally Israel in its efforts to defend itself against the attacks of Hamas and Iranian-backed proxies,” according to a statement from Committee Chairwoman Rep. Kay Granger’s (R-Texas) office.

“The Further Consolidated Appropriations Act continues our commitment to Israel, providing critical defense assistance and holding the United Nations accountable for its blatant bias against our great ally – and in the case of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), its proven collusion with Hamas,” Granger said.
The State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act prohibits funds for UNRWA and the UN Commission of Inquiry against Israel.

It also forces the UN and other international organizations funded in the bill to assess and report on efforts to combat anti-Israel bias and antisemitism and to vet personnel for connections to terrorist groups, the Act withholds funds from the UN Human Rights Council to hold it accountable for blatant anti-Israel actions and reform the Council’s election process to prevent human rights abusers from becoming members.

I just told Mike Johnson in conference that I’m cosponsoring the Motion to Vacate that was introduced by @RepMTG

He should pre-announce his resignation (as Boehner did), so we can pick a new Speaker without ever being without a GOP Speaker.

That's okay, I didn't watch it, either. The text was enough to get the gist. (One braying jackass per day is enough for me).

Massie says Johnson would ‘lose more votes than McCarthy’

The vote that vacated McCarthy was 216-210.
Thomas Massie Predicts Mike Johnson Would ‘Lose More Votes Than McCarthy’ On Motion To Vacate

Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky predicted Tuesday that a motion to vacate targeting House Speaker Mike Johnson would succeed with a higher number of defections than one that toppled then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia filed a motion to vacate the chair on March 22 after a $1.2 trillion spending bill passed the House of Representatives. Massie, a libertarian-leaning member of the House Republicans, told a press gaggle that he had requested Johnson’s resignation.

“The motion is going to get called … and then he is going to lose more votes than Kevin McCarthy,” Massie said, referring to the 216-210 vote that resulted in McCarthy’s Oct. 3 ouster and the lengthy search process that eventually settled on Johnson. “And I have told him this in private weeks ago.”

Massie said he had asked for Johnson’s resignation in a meeting shortly before the press gaggle that was posted to X by CSPAN.

“I will not call the motion to vacate, but I will tell you that if it is called, there will be a lot of people who vote for it,” Massie said…
