Money Bomb Site Up and Running

Posted to Facebook. Would like to see the flag borders moved up a few pixels, or the scroll moved down. When the window is sized down it shows the elements and looks "choppy" on Chrome

Can you put together some banners? It would be much easier to promote with a few simple banners.

How about if 'suggested' pledge is $100, but you don't make them pledge any specific amount.

Here's the deal -- just getting a person's pledge into the database of the revolution is of value in itself.

You don't want to discourage people from pledging, just because they can't give, say $100. At the same time, you don't want to make a specific pledge amount of $25, because that can decrease the amount of money people will give.

If you can do a multi-amount form, from around $10, up to $2,400 -- that might work best. But, in the absence of that -- the site should saying we're trying to get x contributions of y amount -- but to please pledge if you can give anything at all.

Just my thought.

Maybe there should be some sharing thing-a-ma-jigs for Facebook/Digg-type sites with the banners that can be posted along with the link?

Good idea... suggesting $100 is the pledge amount but encourage them to sign up regardless of the amount.

Signed up btw. .. and will spread the word!

We need to raise Rand $1.5 Million this quarter..

I don't know

thoughts?
Rand predicted that he would have 20,000 donors by the end of the quarter. I believe he had around 14,000 at the end of last quarter, and probably has around 15,000 now.

Instead of focusing on the amount of money raised, I suggest we focus on the number of donors. This allows us to push for donations of all size, and in fact will allow us to capitalize on the folks that can only donate $5 or so.I think that taking this approach will actually bring in the largest amount of money and the largest pool of donors.

So, the goal could be 5,000 donation pledges. Typically, we get two to three times the amount pledged, so even if we come short by 2,500... we will still reach our goal.

What do you guys think?

That sounds good.

Recommend $100. But have option for $5, 10, 25, and $50 pledge as well.

Honestly though. I do think we should try to raise $1 Million on this bomb alone too as well as maximize donors.

Since the money bomb started a little late in my opinion, might be a good idea to have the official campaign of Rand Paul's promote it a lot. Worked for Alan Grayson.

I'm ready to get spamming.
