Actually, I think it went quite well! I mean, there was some response that was to be expected of course, but generally we were welcomed, and even had some say they would try to make our next meeting.
The highlight was surely John Steven's five minutes of fame. There were various Republican clubs from around town that were in attendance. They were introducing themselves to the group, so we had a golden opportunity to introduce ourselves as well, which John took full advantage of and really did an excellent job. I did notice some "looks"... but the best thing about it was that just before, an REC member had brought up the fact that at one of their recent events, they were able to convert 2 democrats to republicans, which received thunderous cheer. So it was a little difficult then to ignore John's statement... where he pointed out that we have a group of about 75 people, of which about 95% had joined the Republican party solely because of our excitement and support of Ron Paul's candidacy!
They cheered, of course. So to me, I think it went great.
