I searched but didn't see that anyone had linked to this editorial by Mona Charon. It just appeared today in my local paper. The ridiculousness of it speaks for itself. If this is the best that anti-Paulites can come up with, it shows what a strong candidate he is.
I'll sum up her points, she states that Ron Paul should be a candidate to head the Branch Davidians because....
1) he "claims" to believe in personal freedom but has said that he wouldn't issue a pardon to Scooter Libby
2) he "claims" he is a real Republican, but Eisenhower threatened to use nuclear weapons against China, and Eisenhower is a real republican, so Paul must not be.
3) that there is no way we can eliminate the IRS, FBI, CIA...
and of course, the big ringer
4) racists support Ron Paul, therefore he must be racist. He took $500 from a former Grand Wizard Clansman, sooo that proves he is racist.
Seriously....that was the gist of her article. All I can say is, even negative publicity is good, because it will introduce Paul to people who haven't heard of him yet. (and it doesn't take much searching to find out the real truth of Ron Paul)
