Blunt is no fan of the proposed federal bailout for financial companies stricken by dead-weight assets.
“I’m not convinced that they have the right solution in Washington D.C.,” Blunt said. “I don’t think Missouri taxpayers should bailout companies that made literally billions of dollars of the past decade.”
And, as if his point wasn’t clear enough, he added:
“I’m not in agreement with the Wall Street bailout. I don’t think it’s in the best interest of Missourians and I don’t think it’s what a free-market economy does to respond to challenges.”
