If Ron Paul believes that marriage is a religious and not a state matter, then will this help men fighting for better rights in divorce cases? This can be a very vocal group - Tom Likas?

Marriage would still be a contract if government was out of it, but that doesn't matter because States will always be in it.

Men don't have rights.

A woman can have an abortion without the man's consent.

But,

A women can keep the baby, a man can not request an abortion, and then once the child is born, the man must pay child support for 18 years, even though he didn't want to have the baby.

During a divorce, the women usually always gets the kids. Men get weekends.

From a quick look at the forum at www.dadsdivorce.com, I didn't see any discussion of the elections at all. It may be prohibited there, don't know.

(Great info at that site for fathers who are divorcing or are divorced, by the way.)

I was just reading this guys divorce horror story, a typical "rape the man for all he's worth" situation, and I was wondering if the campaign could relate to that at all. In any event, I'm sure that once we are in power, then we will have to do something about that.

I had just thought of this yesterday. Ron Paul could tap into major men's rights support just by coming out with a Constitutionally backed stance of EQUAL RIGHTS.

Of course, then he'd have the feminists up in arms ;)

Something has to be done, I personally believe in a womans right to choose because it is inside of her, but everything else has to become more equal. Many woman are decent and see that things are very unfair right now and would support a change as well. If someone wants to be a total feminazi and be up in arms, then I say bring it on, we need the national dialog for the campaign.

We the people can propose the idea from a constitutional perspective and make it part of the campaign ourselves.

I'm adding it to my list of target demographics:

All Americans / African Americans / American Children / American Farmers / American Gun Owners / American Military / American Patriots / American Parents / American Senior Citizens / American War Veterans / Anti-Abortion Americans / Anti-Internet Regulation Americans / Anti-IRS Americans / Anti-Prohibition Americans / Anti-War Americans / Arab, Semitic Americans / Asian Americans / Business Owning Americans / Christian, Judaistic, Muslim, And Other Religion Americans / Environmentalist Americans / European Americans / Feminist Americans / Formerly Apolitical Americans / Formerly Democrat Americans / Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, And Transgender Americans / Latin Americans / Libertarian Americans / Mens Rights Americans / Native American Americans / Pro-American Constitution / Pro-American Economy / Pro-American Education / Pro-American Free Speech / Pro-American Health Care / Pro-American National Security / Pro-American National Sovereignty / Pro-Choice Americans / Republican Americans / Secular Americans / USA Government Employees /

From my understanding, Ron Paul draws a lot of philosophy and ideals from Ayn Rand; his view on racism is almost word for word. Thus, any notion of rights for a collectivist group (such as men, women, African American, gay, etc.) is wrong, but individual rights of everyone should be protected.

You do not understand. This is politics, every group has to stand up and say why they support Ron Paul in order for us to win.

Many men can say "As a man, I support Ron Paul because I'm sick of us getting unfairly treated in divorce court, and the constitution says everyone is equal instead"

Many woman can say "As a woman, I support Ron Paul because even though he is against abortion, he will leave it up to the states, and that is what is right"

African Americans can say "As an African American, I support Ron Paul because I'm sick of a war on drugs that keeps us disproportionately imprisoned and severely marginalized"

Gays etc can say "As a gays etc, I support Ron Paul because contrary to popular belief, he is not anti-gay, he supports equal rights for all"

Do you get it yet? That's how we win everyone, by showing everyone that Ron Paul is for everyone.

Would be cool to get Ron Paul on the Tom Leykis show. Just gotta figure out a way to persuade Tom to get Ron Paul on his show. I thought I heard a caller say Ron Paul on his show a few days ago about something, I can't remember. Leykis responded with, "he's not going anywhere..." It was the show where he was talking about the McCain supporter calling Hilary a bitch. He could have been referring to McCain since most of the callers and Leykis was bashing McCain. The radio cut out on me with the Ron Paul caller.

I found the radio archive...it's titled, "How Do We Beat the Bitch?"

Leykis is a strong believer in equal rights for men and women, and believes women have a lot more rights these days.

If women get womens rights... then men should get mens rights... the government should continue to break up all facets of our lives and make sure that for every thing that makes us different from the person standing next to us we are given protection under the law. The government will need to expand and expand to do this, but in the end we all will have more rights and freedoms than ever. Please join me in this effort at www.democrats.org Please I implore you before it's too late and a candidate gets elected who respects individual rights. Then all hope is lost for the government to continue to grow in size and get increasingly more involved in our personal lives. Don't you want your rights protected?

I think that you should personally speak out and express why you support Ron Paul as a Stupid American. You can say "as a stupid American I support Ron Paul, because he will defend my right to be stupid if I choose to be, so long as I don't hurt anyone else" That way more Americans who are also stupid will see why it would be in their best interest to support Ron Paul too. If you think that would require more laws, then you are stupid.

I agree, that would be a tremendous idea. Get Ron on there explaining why following the constitution will correct the imbalance between men and women in divorce courts today. Does anyone have the ear of the campaign?

I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in the constitution that men always get royally fucked when it comes to divorce.

I disagree all Stupid Americans all need to band together and make sure that each distinctive part of their identity is covered in laws and regulations so that when somebody makes fun of a person for whatever reason, they watch nascar, or drink pbr, or wear cowboy hats and spurs with their boots, then they can say ... you can't do that... it's in section 17 in the Federal Regulate Everything Bill you cannot make fun of a person because they love nascar and are a cowboy. It's absolutely fair because then people can't make fun of me for being a yankee, or a college student. They won't even be able to make fun of the baseball team the Yankees. We all are people after all and we all need equal rights under the many laws and regulations. That is why I want Hillary Clinton to be our president. She understands the value of having a large government committed to intervening in personal affairs, and she'll carry on the legacy of George W. Bush, which I personally like. However all the candidates for the People's party the democratic party will do just fine as well, even several top tier candidates in the Republican party are satisfactory.

Men, especially white men, don't have rights. Haven't you been paying attention, white men cause all the problems in the world because of our obscene racism and sexism. We are to be ashamed to be born as a white male!

Leykis had a guest on some months back to discuss men's rights with respect to paternity fraud. I believe the dude's name was Taron James. Pretty shocking stuff.

I also heard another men's rights advocate on the show, Dr. Warren Farrell. I get the impression he's a semi-regular guest. Very interesting guy.

Edit: I'm thinking that getting RP on Leykis would be a tough sell. Leykis' show used to be all about politics, and I get the impression he's totally burned out on the subject -- at least, discussing it on air.

As well you should be! After all your kind has been responsible for all manner of evil in the world; Slavery, The Holocaust, The Crusades, Global Warming, and PBS. Don't you realize the harm you've brought into the world by virtue of being born and opting to continue to live? You're a part of the problem, and as soon as realize that you can become part of the solution. Talking about men's rights is not helping... it's part of the problem. Freedom means giving up your rights so that others might have more rights than you. That's what is altruistic and good and you'll feel better when it's all over because you'll be atoning for the sins of your (male) predecessors.
