Portland is not having a walk - Seattle to the North is though.
A few weeks ago, our group participated in a Portland march (there's usually a march to protest the war a couple of times a year here). Anyway, I wish we had found out about it a little sooner and set something up! As it was, we had 3 of us marching (they had about 80 groups and about 400 people).
Portland politics is pretty dominated by democrats,
progressive democrats and socialists. There are a lot of Kucinich supporters. A few of the people were narrowminded and would not listen to the fact that RP is the ONLY one going to pull out the day after he takes office (just "because" he is Republican or they don't like his positions on cutting federal government...

)
I think the Seattle area RP'ers are going to be participating in the region wide march.
I think I still have a copy of the flyer our group used to highlight the points of which candidates voted for what options (in regards to war with Iraq, Iran, Patriot Act etc ...) We used it to hand out before and after "No End In Sight" movie. it has quotes from the candidates on their positions. if anyone wants it, please contact me and I'll email it to you.
