Does anyone else cringe when John McCain randomly says "straight talk"? He was not talking straight at all last night. It seems like he uses that catchphrase to make it seem like he's the only honest Republican.

After the immigration bill he tried to get passed, I'm still surprised anyone would vote for this guy. He doesn't look electable either. I mean, do you think the average independent is going to want to vote for someone who looks so unstable?

McCains standing has fallen with everyone I know. I used to like him a few years ago, but not anymore. Ron really got him with that question. Romney got nailed on the 2nd amendment question from Huckabee also!
To my family Romney, and Mccain seemed like they were lying about things. Giuliani nothing very impressive. Ron did good for the very small amount of time he was allowed to speak. Huckabee did well also.
Glad to see it was pretty civil this time. The moderators seemed to take a few of Ron`s answers, and then put the favored three on the spot.
Overall Ron did good, but at times I think he has to dumb down his replies for the audience unfortunately. People are definitely waking up to the censorship of him, and about the coming financial problems of the gov`t.

McCain's transcript from all the debates so far.

"Here's some straight talk folks, Ear marks, Pork barrel spending, Bridge to no-where, I saved billions on a tanker deal and I have the track record to lead" ............followed by a nutty ass evil grin.

I think I heard him use the word(s) "pork" and "bridge to nowhere" about 50 bazillion times. I thought he was advertising for a new Jimmy Dean sausage....."Pork Bridges"

I thought his catch phrase was "Just Let Us Win" *cringe*

cool i just found this blog post BTW: John McCain is a Liar, from a deployed soldier who is a Ron Paul supporter

Eventually, I was wondering what "bridge to nowhere" he was referring to. The Iraq war is a bridge to nowhere, but he wants us to stay in Iraq forever; the economy is currently on a bridge to nowhere, but he's not an economist; and our foreign policy is leading us down a bridge to nowhere, but he still believes America is a super power. He probably said it early on, but I was very turned off to McCain.

Does he think that America can do what it pleases and no one else in the world will care? And does he really think we can cut taxes at home and still fund this crazy world-wide empire we've got? He didn't talk straight at all! Even worse, McCain was given ample time to speak, yet he didn't explain himself very well.

Yeah, it's getting tiresome hearing McCain speak on behalf of all soldiers in the middle east.

Ron Paul wins everytime the Iraq debate is brought up. The other candidates can lament about what if we leave, and al-Qaeda wins. But the point is, al-Qaeda was not there before this war. Hopefully people realize that when they vote.

He was referring to a particularly smelly bit of pork in the form of a long and horrendously expensive bridge to a tiny Alaskan island which is home to a handful of filthy rich Republicans, most of whom use aircraft to get home. Sen. Ted Stephens or Stevens, R-Alaska, is that right? The guy who used government contractors to build his dream house.

You know, someone ought to see how often McCain voted for that guy's pork!

Don't forget that lame-ass joke he cracks all the time when he compares spending by congress to drunken sailors.
