LP Volunteer Announcement:
Dear Libertarians,
For those who love freedom, 2008 is shaping up to be a great year! More and more the word “libertarian” has been uttered in mainstream media in describing individual’s positions on issues. We’ve seen that citizens and even legislators are seeking us out actively, looking for a real change.
In the short term, we are tasked with the difficult chore of achieving equality with our Republican and Democratic contemporaries, namely Ballot Access. Several states are on the radar as being immediately necessary to gather signatures on petitions: Illinois, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
I urge all eligible Libertarians in these states to join me to make a difference in your communities. If we put out a concerted effort in the next few months and can achieve our goals in a timely manner, we will have more time to campaign for our eventual presidential candidate. It’s important for us to have as much time as possible to get out the message during this years election cycle. Getting it done soon will give us an edge when it comes time to fight for access in the debates, and for media exposure.
Now more than ever you are needed to spread our message. Plato said… “One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.”
Volunteer today to collect signatures in your state, so that we can achieve Liberty in our lifetime. Click here to make a difference: http://www.lp.org/action/volunteer.shtml.
Sincerely,
