Neil Kiernan Stephenson (http://www.nks2008.com), running for Congress in Michigan's 10th, believes he stands a good chance to win his election this year. On the Republican side, he has Candice Miller, a Bush Republican incumbent who is barely campaigning this year because she has her eyes set on the governor's mansion. On the Democratic side, he has Robert Denison, who unsuccessfully challenged Miller in 2002 and hasn't updated his events calender since January. Since the district leans conservative, Neil has a chance in this race. All he needs is some help to boost him over the top.

I'm asking for anything you can do - contribute a few bucks, comment on his website to see if you can do some online work for him, promote him online. Every little, tiny act is appreciated. You would be doing the Libertarian Party a great favor, too, by helping elect one of their own to Congress.

Thank you,
Ross

Is anyone else interested? Shoot me a PM and I'll send you Neil's email address, if you want it.

Is it even legal, not if it should be, to send money to another state's candidate?
Is he running as a libetarian or republican?
That is, what are his stances more closer to, remembering that current R's aren't really republicans.

I hope it's legal. BJ Lawson's got a lot of my GA dollars up in North Carolina (or wherever).

Edit: Well, not a "lot". But, I did donate. :)

Hey, where'd that black van come fr - -

It's perfectly legal. The guy's running as a Libertarian. Apparently, Miller is running a less active campaign than in the past and the Democrat is barely running a campaign at all. Even if he doesn't win, it would be worth getting a base for him for a 2010 run, when Miller plans to run for governor.
