Fascinating story! The Gov. agents tried to smear his practice in the course of their investigation as well. There really is no constitutional basis for the income tax. The supreme court has ruled that the 16th amendment conferred no new taxing power to the Federal gov.

He said there might be a profit that should be taxable, but there might not.

"The IRS lets Wal-Mart sell a trillion dollars worth of goods, but they can back out their cost of goods [before being taxed,]" he said. "The IRS considers, in the case of a Wal-Mart wage earner, 100 percent of what he takes in is profit."

Don't be fooled. This is one case of there being a stupid jury. His guy would never try to take this case to the Supreme Court, because just like with all the rest of income tax arguments, he'd lose. In reading that article you can see how rediculous the argument is, he claims for instance that working is a constitutional right. Oh really? I'd love to see that. Especially since we don't get any of our rights from the Constitution, we get them from the Bill of Rights, the Constitution just protects those rights. All this case is about is a stupid jury or a stupid prosecuting attorney, because the income tax is constitutional and has held up to every rediculous argument brought throughout the years.

IRS Suffers Defeat

Here is another case where the IRS lost in court.
Seems a company paid it's employees with government issued gold and silver coin.
The employees did not have to pay income taxes because the face value of the coins, ($50 for the gold coins, $1 for the silver coins) was less than what was required to pay taxes on.

The case went to court and the IRS lost!
