If we refuse the REAL ID card next May, will this prevent us from voting in the '08 election?

Well, its not like they can prevent anyone in New Hampshire, Maine, Idaho, Arkansas, Hawaii, and Washington from voting, and all of their state governments have passed laws opposing or refusing the REAL ID act. But who knows what the government will or won't do these days.

Aren't all of the primaries before May though? (I know this doesn't fix the problem but at least it's something.)

Oh and I oppose this ID card like murder.

I read somewhere that citizens will not even be able to get a job without it, if it passes. The "fences".. oh just metaphor.. Does it really keep out illegals? or rather just keep us "in"?

Hubby says that in Britian if you refuse to get the ID card, you can't get a passport. I hope like hell that this doesn't happen here. I am not going to get one of those stupid things...I don't want ANYONE to have that kind of power over me.
