Just in case you weren't paranoid enough already...

Cops have been garnering favor to Rats for a very long time, nothing new. Some continue in their lives of crime unchecked for pointing out those the cops want to bust.

When my mom found out she was pregnant with me, my dad got an offer from the police that instead of prison he could become "undercover" personnel. He said he got too tired of running and hiding, watching his back. Says he still feels like someday someone will get him.

But, it was either that or die in prison... He chose to live what he thought was a better life with us.

I'm watching Schindler's List at the moment and even the Jews had sellouts working for the Nazis. Now if you can turn on your own kind you can be turned on anyone. No honor in that.

If I ever find a traitor in my group, they will be dealt with in the traditional manner in which all traitors are dealt with...

It's my experience that it's difficult to find honorable people. Always some psychological twist in their mind that prevents them from being so.

that is why a traitors punishment is death. the fear of death keeps the thoughts of dishonor in check for most people.
I think Red Dawn covers this subject well.

Agreed.

IMHO that was one of the most realistic and credible scenes of the movie. Anyone who has read anything about the underground resistance in Europe during WWII would have recognized it immediately.

Quite surprising for a Hollywood portrayal.
