Just gave my cat her first bath

lol, I enjoy bathing our kitty. I put on a big bulky sweater and waterproof winter gloves and do it in the kitchen sink. Good times........ Oh and we use dr. bronners soap.

We once bathed a kitty at our old house, that "came with the house". he refused to move with the old owners. That little bastard was so noisy, wailing that the neighbors came over to make sure "everything was ok". :)

Go to a surf shop (there are quite a few in Houston, plenty of surf there on the gulf, SHHHHH)

Buy a rash guard (a special shirt that you wear in the water), get one with long sleeves. Clip their nails first and just go in the shower holding your cat with your trunks and rashguard on. That's how I used to do it.

Why did you have to bathe your cat?

I know I never do. They bathe themselves, and do a damned good job of it. I had a cat that lived to be twenty years old, yet never smelled half as bad as many dogs do the moment their fur is dry.

We've had to bath kittehs in the past, sometimes they get into "stuff."

It takes more than one person, IMHO and claws clipped good and short too.

The best way to do it is with the "no water" formulas....but our cat hated the sound of the sprayer too, so I ended up spraying the stuff into my hands in the other room and then going into the other room and rubbing it on while the designated "holder" held on for dear life.

I just moved into a new home (old house). The previous renters trashed the place. There is a grid like window with one of the squares of glass broken out. I've been good about keeping the door to that room closed, but I passed out last night watching the Godfather on Netflix (I've been busting my ass not just cleaning this place up, but also just trying to find a place!). I hadn't closed the door all the way and she figured it out. Woke up around 11pm and went looking for her. 10 minutes later I realized that she was gone. I new she was close by because I could hear the neighbors' cats and dogs going ape. Spent the whole night searching for her in the neighborhood until I couldn't anymore. Fell asleep around 6am. At 6:30 the little bugger came back in through the window (her paws hitting the floor woke me up). Anyway, I was too tired to bathe her this morning, so i let her bask in her filth for a few hours while i napped. Don't worry cat lovers, I checked her for cuts, etc. She's fine.

It's times like these I wish she wasn't so awesomely cute. I spend the whole night going out of my mind and 30 minutes after i collapse she strolls on in like,

"Hey. Whatcha doin?"

little f%#$er

Heh.

Now you're gone and I'm lost, in the swells I am tossed
Bobbing and choking and losing the fight in the fog
You said, "Forever"
Tell me, why can't you stay?

I'd ride in your pocket all day, but I just don't fit
Say the word and I'll change, I'm throwin' a party
Tonight, I drink more than a sailor on shore
Pour the rum in my eyes, tell me lies

Drunk since Saturday, without you, without restraint
It sill stings where you stung, water swings in my lungs
I'm starving for words that would ration my sadness away
Tell me, "Forever"
Tell me you'll come back to stay

Fuck cats. They were meant to live outside and kill vermin in the field before they made it to home or storage bins.

IMHO
