Jim Forsythe has quit the NH primary...

too bad. he poll numbers must be in the dirt cause word was he had a chance.

Check the Federal/State/Local candidates forum for more information. While you're there, learn about some other candidates still in the race.

It would have been wise if he had stayed in the race and continued to spread the message of liberty instead of dropping out. I don't care if he lost, as long as he turned few heads -- that's fine with me. That's clearing a way for another liberty minded candidate in future.

I'm disappointed in him.

Looks like someone offered him a deal he could not refuse.

And waste his donors money? And that first comment was uncalled for. I can't beleive some of you people though. I mean a lot of us were posting here yesterday and Jim was HERE talking to us... go read the thread people <.< (It's about his MySpace... leads into this)

he came on RPF yesterday to explain. He is refunding everyone's money who wants it, otherwise he is going to either fund other liberty candidates or run for a local office to get ready for possibly another run at Congress in a couple years.

I take my first statement back, I was just bit disappointed and baffled with his actions. Like I said, I'd rather have people turn their head now so we can run again in future and have a better chance.

I am baffled as well. He only filed at the end of February...have things changed so much in 1 1/2 months that he really has a completely new situation now? One that merits dropping out?

there was no way he could win without a ton of money. Too much money.

So you think he started running in the hopes he would have vastly larger amounts of money pour into the coffers than what actually came? After 1 1/2 months he figured if it was going to happen it would have? Not trying to be dense here...I guess I wouldn't launch a campaign, create a website get so many people to tout me, etc... only to drop out that fast. I have never run for elected office though so I may be ignorant here.

I think you are close to his thoughts... I was thinking the same thing...
Money came in easily for Ron Paul, it should come in for us too.
Each congressional candidate will need at the minimum $300,000 to compete.
If he raised $100,000... he didn't really have enough to compete.
I've only raised $10,000.
Many others have similar amounts...
Perhaps we should all get together and pick amongst us who has the best chances and send our warchest to a couple of candidates.

I thought Jim had the best shot of us all.
If more funds would keep him in the race, I would consider sending my funds to help him.
This movement isn't about me, its about getting our people in congress.

It's amazing to me, we can raise so much money to put a Blimp in the sky (even after the media blitz was over), yet we can't raise over $100,000 for any of our congressional candidates. People need to understand how important winning these elections is...

Very good point. The ball has clearly been dropped by all of us. Our concentration should have been and should currently be on all of the people running for congress and senate in the revolution. That never happened. The enthusiasm produced to raise all that money for the blimp needs to be reproduced to fund the candidates who have the best chance in winning their elections. None of the candidates now have enough money to win including Murray. 300,000 esp in New Jersey is not nearly enough. We need to step it up!

Personally, I think people will follow RON PAUL. He sends an email telling us he needs help in his congressional race (not even the presidential one) and with virtually no planning we do a spontaneous money bomb to raise nearly $1 million.

I love Ron Paul and everything he stands for. I love the courage he has shown and everything he's done for the Movement. But he greatly underestimates his OWN POWER.

He is very careful (and maybe rightly so) not to endorse ANYONE that he doesn't think already has a chance to win or have the local support. But he doesn't realize that his endorsement and ability to "rally the troops" (including the wealth of funds that come in every time he waves his hand) is the very thing that could push all of these candidates to the forefront of their respective campaigns.

People have no loyalty to these other candidates, or sometimes even to the Movement. They're loyalty is to Ron Paul, and until that changes these other candidates will have a rough time and will need to fend for themselves.

I guess, that means we can concentrate all of our funding on Murray SAbrin :)
