Thanks for the people from LA, they did a great job there getting a silver with all the shenanigans being pulled there and certainly deserved the gold.

Though can someone that knows how that system works explain this to me please, I've been reading through the posts and this's how I understand it.

As far as I understand there were mostly three slates (lists of delegates?) at nearly every voting point.

- One with 15 committed Paul delegates
- One with some (15?) committed McCain delegates
- The Pro Life/Fam with 15 uncommitted delegates actually committed to Huck, Ghoul, ?McCain?, Thomson and Romney?

Paul supporters voted for all 15 on the Paul slate.
McCain supporters voted for all the ones on the McCain slate (and maybe some on the Pro Life/Fam slate?)
All the other voters voted for the 15 on the Pro Life/Fam slate without really knowing which delegates they're voting for.

If I understood it correctly (please correct me and I'll edit), if there were McCain delegates on the Pro Life/Fam slate supporters from Thompson, Huck, Ghoul and Romney were unknowingly voting for him as well?!?!

So the only way he got so many (number unknown as yet) was being getting votes from other candidates supporters as well?

Hope I explained my understanding of the situation clearly, and please inform me as to the truth.

Let me preface this by saying that I'm not from LA, so I'm not the best source, but this is what (I think) I know.

Thanks for the people from LA, they did a great job there getting a silver with all the shenanigans being pulled there and certainly deserved the gold.

Amen!

As far as I understand there were mostly three slates (lists of delegates?) at nearly every voting point.

Most places had 4 slates: PLPF (Pro-Life Pro Family), Paul, McCain, and Romney.

- One with 15 committed Paul delegates
- One with some (15?) committed McCain delegates
- The Pro Life/Fam with 15 uncommitted delegates actually committed to Huck, Ghoul, ?McCain?, Thomson and Romney?

1) All of them are technically uncommitted. In other words....once they get to the national convention, they can vote for anyone they want. But....the ones on the Paul ticket said they were personally committed to Paul - the ones on the McCain ticket said they were personally committed to McCain - the ones on the PLPF ticket said they were personally committed to those particular issues - etc.

2) Not sure if everyone had 15 in each district. I think the number varied.

3) The PLPF aren't "actually committed to Huck, Ghoul, ?McCain?, Thomson and Romney." There's a good chance some of them are (there was a rumor that one was even pro-Paul!), but some are genuinely uncommitted at this point (especially Thompson supporters). That's why there's still hope - all we have to do is convince those PLPF delegates to go for Paul.

For the most part, yes. Some delegates were on two slates - some people were on, for example, PLPF and McCain. It's a shame we didn't get people on PLPF and Paul, but that's okay.

If I understood it correctly (please correct me and I'll edit), if there were McCain delegates on the Pro Life/Fam slate supporters from Thompson, Huck, Ghoul and Romney were unknowingly voting for him as well?!?!

Yes.

So the only way he got so many (number unknown as yet) was being getting votes from other candidates supporters as well?

Numbers unknown, but yes - there's a good chance this happened.

Hope I explained my understanding of the situation clearly, and please inform me as to the truth.

I tried - can't guarantee you it's the truth, though. :)

So actually that's great news.

The only way McCain beat us was by having OTHER candidates supporters vote for him!

lol Sure, it's terrible that we were (still not sure) cheated out of our victory. But that's the point isn't it? The ONLY way they could've beat us was by cheating.

haha We've got them pissing in their pants and the GOP is bending over backwards to try and keep us down.

Be happy, we've still got a tough race ahead. But this clearly shows how scared they are of us, and how strong we are!

Plus there is the "rumor" that the governor sent email or something to tell people to vote for McCain. If such a message got to the PLPF slate of voters, they were influenced to vote for McCain.
