It's official. Sarah Palin is another Christian-Zionist butt-kisser.

Her family is the paragon of classic Christian values.

any more "proof" ??

I'd put money on it that she's down with Zionist-backed warmongering in the Middle East. We'll see in the next couple months of debates, I guess. I'll be impressed if she breaks from the party line on going into Iran, but I surely won't be surprised when she doesn't.

Amazing to think she was a Buchanan supporter at one point.

At this point im attributing it to ignorance. She really has only been in a position of real power for a year or so. Alaska is a different place then the 48, and certainly different then DC.

Like Obama, we will know who she is if she gets power. Its not like there are any good choices this year.

What part are you attributing to ignorance? Her support of Buchanan? Israel?

I'm not into demonizing her myself. I would be impressed if she'll break from the party line, but I'm certainly not going to hold my breath, nor do I have much reason to believe she will at this point.

The war on terror thing. Something about having your own child over there...

I'm hoping that she sees the light, but I admit it is just a hope. I have hope for people with short track records. Room for growth, change, and perspective. Most oldsters and career politicians have become too set in their ways for me to hold out optimism.

Yeah, I don't really even know what her official stance is on the war on terror. But no way I'd want my kid over there nor would I use it as a way to pimp myself.

Well she supported Buchanan 2x..he's definately not an Israel firster..who is Mr. Greenspan anyway? The man who shut the guy's mic off at the CFL class? Just curious. Any kin to Alan Greenspan? Tones

Christian Right Vetted Palin

I actually don't know if this answer questions about a Christian-Zionist link, but it does need to be questioned. This is an article from the Nation, a magazine that many of you know about.

Here's Max Blumenthal at the RNC. He takes a cheap shot Ron Paul supporters.

Here's my post on Kristol's enthusiastic prediction of Palin as VP pick.

archNeocon predicted Palin as VP
http://www.rlc.org/2008/08/30/bill-kristol/

Notice how Kristol acts so smug. If you watch Brit Hume, you notice that he seems to realize that this information is truly newsworthy. How can an archneocon as Kristol be so privy to this information, so confident in his prediction? Brit Hume knows.

This is a smart move for the neocons, I suppose. The think tanks that think one way all have access to polls , crunch the numbers, and interpret them. Next, they act as consultants and advisors in Presidential campaigns.

Goldwater, by the way, had Baroody as a campaign adviser in 64. Baroody made the neocon American Enterprise Institute what it is today. Ben Wattenberg (google search results on Wattenberg http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...g+&btnG=Search), was plugging his book "Fighting Words: A Tale of How Liberals Created Neo-Conservatism," on CSPAN, and he described how AEI founder Baroody, would make polls interesting, and from them gather information on how to win votes. Smart. (I did a google search, Baroody Goldwater, and it asked "Did you mean Barry Goldwater?" No, I wasn't, but who could tell the difference?) The Goldwater campaign of 1964 is credited with starting the major conservative movement, which came to fruition in the glorious election of Ronald Reagan. The question I ask, that I guess google asked me, is this Baroody Goldwater all over again?

They see that McCain is not completely trusted. The Hillary supporters were visibly upset with Obama, and I suspect many of them are sitting on the fence. Plus, they know that Ron Paul Republicans are going to an important part of the electorate. Many who had reservations about McCain, feel excited that Palin, a paleoconservative, as some have already called her, is a heart beat away from the Presidency. Most of her appeal is that she's not from the beltway. Heck, she could be a neighbor. However, we should not underestimate the neoconservative apparatus that turns many a wheel on Capitol Hill, and the probable influence they had in the selection of Palin. We should be disturbed when Kristol appears so comfortable in the idea of Palin as veep.
