Is the turnout going to be just 1,000 people?

Just booked my hotel room 1/2 mile from the mall, what is up with the hotel inventory, every single hotel has tons of rooms available for the entire weekend..

What, is everyone going to camp out in tents or is no one actually going? We should have every hotel room in the city booked by now, especially with cancellation policies letting you cancel just 24 hours in advance without penalties.. so even those just THINKING about going should at least be booking rooms. I've already taken vacation days, booked non-refundable flights, and now hotel. It's easier to get a room in D.C. for that weekend than a typical Wednesday night in Tulsa, OK.

Go book your rooms folks, either before it is too late or just at least to prove we'll have more than just 1,000 people attending. I want to see every room booked in the entire city and a 40-mi. radius surrounding it.

Seriously. I agree with agaiziunas.

Without you, YOU reading this who hasn't yet committed, the attendance will be low. Why does it all depend on YOU? Because there are hundreds of thousands who believe as you do but who are...hesitating... wondering... is it going to be big? With money so tight...Is this worth it? What if there are only a few people?

The ONLY way it will be big is if you take the leap and encourage everyone who believes as you do to put hesitation aside and make it happen.

Are you sure about this? Our travel committee has booked blocks of rooms all over DC and the surrounding areas. Also, there is some big convention going on at the same time as our event. And, based on the number of emails we get on a daily basis, I feel pretty confident that the numbers will be higher than 1000 ;)

I'm waiting for them to release the hotels they got on discounts... :) The second they release it, I'm calling and getting a room :) Also, a lot of the 'students for ron paul' on here are trying to stay close... and get more for the money...

Truth!

Myself, my wife, and 2 kids are going but we don't have a hotel room. We are staying at a friends house just outside DC. And another friend and his wife will be staying there also.

I am holding off on booking a flight not nowing how much free time I will have and I would be happy to help marshall.

So I havent booked anything. I bet that is what most people are thinking.

Me and my crew will driving down early in the morning on the 12th . What I do think is that the pledge counter actually work , I'm referring peaple to the march website and the counter has shown 14.000 since I pledged to march a couple months ago. To most people 14,000 marching on Washington is not enough people to spark their interest. We need to show the real numbers ,there has to have been more people that pledged since I signed up!!!!!! GET IT WORKING PLEASE !!!!!!!!!

Any day now it will be working. But remember, we lost all the data from the RonPaulMarch.com site that we were linked to and we can't get a hold of the person who was running that site. So that means the counter is going to start at zero! Everyone who signed up at RonPaulMarch.com is going to have to re-pledge. How are we supposed to make that happen? As usual we're doing all we can do.

Honestly though, if some people are going to have the attitude that they won't go if there aren't 100s of thousands of people there, then to me, that's the same attitude as "I'm not voting for Ron Paul, because he can't win." RON PAUL will be there!!! So will about 15 other AWESOME speakers and at least 3 AWESOME bands!!! Plus, there's the 'meet and greet', the book signing, the workshops, the picketing at the Federal Reserve, and lobbying Congress. Not to mention all the historical sites. I also heard that the bands that didn't get put on the list to perform are making arrangements to perform in nearby venues. The town is gonna be rockin with Paulites!! This thing is going to be huge.

If people want to hinge this whole thing on a pledge counter......really....what does that say about them?

I didn't realize all the data was lost ! It really doesn't matter to me , I'll be there and don't really care how many people show . I was talking about the sheeple that need a little extra motivation to get off their lazy butts . You know the type !

Also, I appreciate all of the hard work that is being put into this event . I know I'm doing the best I can to get people to come !

My girlfriend and I will both be there! Days taken off work and travel plans already made! Detroit City Represent!

I've been busy, plus I'm going to get some nice discounts from my brothers girl friend who works for a big hotel chain.
