I encounter socialists more than i encounter Libertarians, in my experience.

Even alot of the bands that i used to listen to alot (before i became politically active) are pure socialists.

Nofx is a good example. Nofx even has a song called "Murder the Government" and the first lyrics are "I wanna see that constitution Burn".

Me and some friends are going to see them in concert next month, I still dig their tunes, but i have lost so much respect for their opinions expressed in their music.

I also find alot of obama supporters are happily marxists. I often run into them in youtube comments, and they dont give 2 shits about the constitution. They want to get rid of it.

I hope there isn't more of them than there are of us, but in my experience, there are more socialists than libertarians, voicing their opinions

A lot of socialist, when questioned further aren't truely socialist. They just throw out easy answers, without thinking them through. I overheard someone yesterday at work saying we needed free healthcare...I responded with how about affordable market driven healthcare that doesn't include illegal aliens inflating the cost. They ended up agreeing.

I truely think people latch on to the easy thing to say or do, only because there is nobody else addressing their needs. Their need was to be able to go to the doctor without being financially raped. They don't care how thats accomplished but they hear someone say 'Free Healthcare' and they grasp onto the concept. Libertarians need to start educating people that there is a way government can assist in stimulating a market through healthy competition and preventing fraud and closing our boarders to reduce that burden. There is a solution to thier needs that doesn't involve taking from one class to give to the other.

I think people may come off as socialist in some ways, but i think when it comes down to it, people will realize what is right and wrong, and they will try to save the constitution, but it may be to late by then.
