Is Ron Paul privately considering (/ planning on) 3rd party?

...Reaching so many people doesn't necessarily mean a victory in the next primary, but it counts for the real changes we want in our country, now and for our children and grandchildren.

Of course, I am mainly paying attention to the next primary! We are working hard in Florida, in Louisiana for the caucuses, and then for Super Tuesday in more than 20 states...

You'd think he'd say election instead of just primary =p

Election is in November - primary's are more of a poll / caucus for nomination to the party -

just because someone gets the nomination does not mean someone else can't be elected

I would say that ultimately, Dr. Paul's goal is to get his message out to as many as possible; that is the true goal here. There is no real egotistical drive to be president, though we all desperately need him to be.

Sore loser laws would keep him off the ballot in Texas and Ohio. Kinda hard to win an election without those 2 states from what I hear. He would have to wage the biggest write in campaign ever in those states in the general election. Mind you, I don't think that's impossible considering where the economy will be by the fall. He's the only one who's had answer for it, not that answers appear to be in vogue this campaign season.

I hope he does. It would draw in A LOT of Dems who aren't impressed with O'Billary, but are reluctant to support Dr. Paul just because he is a Republican. He might actually have a shot at the White House if he does.

And at worst, he'll teach the GOP one hard lesson it will never forget if his 3-9% of GOP supporters follow him to the 3rd party run.
