They were so cocky and thought that after Irwin Schiff was sentenced to 13 years in jail that the tax honesty movement was finished. Then Ron Paul comes along and runs for President, points out all the corruption from the US government and the IRS, advocates civil disobedience, jury nullification, and picks up 158,000 votes in PA which means that there are probably 10 times the amount of tax honesty advocates before RP ran for President because libertarians used to only get 10,000 votes in PA during Presidential elections.
