I never liked that website in the first place....Have you ever tried taking their test? Some of their "political" questions are more moral or philosophical in nature and don't apply to politics at all....for example, in order to be more "Libertarian" in their terms, you have to believe in astrology....it's one of the questions!

the very fact they have Gravel in the Libertarian block and on the right, and Ron Paul in the authoritarian and on the right should send up a huge flag (Gravel? Economic freedom? HAHAHA).

It's also quite humorous that they have Chuck as being the 2nd most authoritarian...I don't agree with him on anything, but he's much less restrictive of social liberties and John McCain, that's for sure. I'd also argue that Barr and Baldwin are even more on the right than the chart lists, and McCain+Palin are way more towards the left (same way with Obama and Biden) as well.

But overall, as you guessed already, I don't like that site at all.

It is an interesting compass, but it's also true that some of the questions are completely irrelevant to politics. Plus, I get the feeling that they place people a bit arbitrarily at times. For example, there's NO WAY Mike Gravel would be that close to Ron Paul on the left-right axis. Mike Gravel may call himself a libertarian, but his politics haven't changed any since he ran as a Dem.

yeah, they just flipped him over to the right when he switched to LP, dunno why, he's probably somewhere around nader/mckinney

Yeah right, those candidates took that STUPID bogus "left wing" propaganda survey.

I call BULLSHIT!

Wow, and Ron Paul apparently has no libertarian tendencies.

What planet are these guys living on?
