I Still Get to Watch Stupid Ignorant Americans Get What They Deserve

Before I learned about Dr. Paul 8 months ago, I took great pleasure in following the real estate bubble and the subsequent bust. I knew the dot-com bubble would burst and I knew the mother of all housing bubbles would burst, and I was taking great pleasure in seeing stupid Americans finally getting what they deserved.

When I first discovered Ron Paul, I thought there might be hope for our condemned society, but that's not what the ignorant people want. They don't deserve a man like Dr. Paul. I still support him till the end, and at least I can say I tried to help get us out of the mess we're in for.

At least I can still take great pleasure watching stupid Americans get foreclosed on in record numbers. I am laughing at watching household wealth destruction occurring on a massive scale with falling home prices. Autos being repossessed and credit card delinquencies soaring. Over 200 mortgage companies going bankrupt since the beginning of the year and tens of thousands of jobs lost. Massive amounts of people in the construction trades out of work and selling their tools to pawn shops just so they can eat. They deserve it for being so ignorant.

The silver lining is, hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens out of work. Hopefully they will self deport.

Any body else have any laughable consequences of Americans getting what they deserve for their willful ignorance?

I suppose I'm entertained with the spectacle of it all. Much like being entertained with the orchestra playing while the Titanic sank.

The ultimate fun will be to watch Countrywide go bankrupt, and Fanni May and Freddi Mac go bankrupt.

They are all still people. Living and breathing just like you or I. Laughing because they are starving? Because they are jobless? Because they can't take their INNOCENT children to a doctor when they get ill? Because they cannot afford health-care? Or food? Just because they are ignorant, does not make them any less human than you.

It's not funny. I'll politely ask you to get the fuck out.

Use this psychological angle get people agitated so that they wake up and think about what is going on. It worked on you.

I don't think it's funny, only because people do not deserve this. It's not like they are choosing this. The truth is being hidden from the people, and at no fault of their own are they deceived. It's easy to get irritated about people's lack of care, but we were all there once, and most of us were there just recently.

I'd also like to point out that millions of Americans are conditioned to be ignorant.

We grew up going to schools that teach us the United States is the kindest, most generous, most compassionate nation on Earth and that we can do no wrong. Politicians promise us the world and time and time again, they break them so much so that we don't trust them and view politics as something that doesn't really affect us anyways. Our televisions, our radios, our newspapers, our magazines --- all paint a pretty picture and tell us what we would like to hear, or at the very least, a softer version of the truth. We are lulled to sleep while our civil liberties are slowly being taken from us.

Sure, it's fun to laugh at people who don't know better. But how much energy are you spending to persuade them to wake up from their dream world? It's more difficult to do that, isn't it? You get laughed at, ignored, and sometimes people can get violent. Why bother getting all your hopes up and spending all that time and energy promoting freedom, peace, and prosperity when watching others make a fool of themselves is so much easier and well, more 'fun'.

The American people are not to blame for becoming down-trodden and losing hope. They work hard all their lives and what do they have to show for it? Another war? A falling economy? Their savings wiped out? It's no wonder we'd rather listen to Paris Hilton make a fool of herself on camera rather than be disappointed again or face the unpleasant reality. No one deserves what is coming --- not you, not me, and not even that NH landlady who thought McCain is anti-war. We have two options in the future: laugh for joy or laugh with despair. Let's aim for the first, shall we?

Very nice analysis of the situation. Although, I am of the mind that ignorance is no excuse. We are talking about well educated people in this country who buy into the crap and willfully promote the status quo for their own gain. They are going to get what is coming to them and they deserve it.

okay dude seriously you have opened a pandoras box....not to mention gotten on to Electric's ignore list....
let's all remeber if we were informed before Ron Paul?.....although I too had given up on my fellow citizens (no church this is not psyop) but I must remember I was misinformed about a lot of things....I knew much of the foreign policy issues but nothing about the federal reserve and the cost on economy...so there...we all think we are well informed...seriously we will go a life time and still not know a lot.....

I grew up in this same environment. How did I make it out? Stop making excuses for the morons in our country. They're weak, and honestly do deserve to suffer for their ignorance.

Regretably, michaelwise is absolutely correct!
He'll get flamed for speaking the truth but I, for one, believe that we are indeed going to get EXACTLY what the majority of sleeping Americans deserve for being so willfully ignorant and so blantantly apathetic!!!

Naturally, not all Americans are like you.

There are hundreds of self-made millionaires. How did they make it out of the rat race? They kept trying and trying despite the hardships, and a few even succeeded after their first attempt. Unfortunately, millions do not make it and some don't even try because their experiences have conditioned them to believe that they can't even make it out in the first place. Do they deserve to live all their lives worrying about how they're going to put food on the table the next day? It depends on your point of view.

You may call it an excuse, but I'm simply trying to explain in terms of my limited understanding of human psychology. Many Americans are collectivists and live with that mind-set. Some --- like you --- are individualists and (I think) are better for it.

Everybody is ignorant.
On what, that depends.. noone is omnipotent.

Amos Bronson Alcott

“There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance”
Socrates

“Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.”

I feel the same fucking way. I guess that's why I'm a huge fan of George Carlin.

"The table has tilted folks. The game is rigged, and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. Good honest hard working people: white collar, blue collar it doesn't matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard working people continue (these are people of modest being) - continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don't give a fuck about you. They don't give a fuck about you - they don't giver a fuck about. They don't care about you at all - at all - at all, and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. "

consequences of your actions and/or inactions are just a fact of life. i believe, based on that, the OP has got a point. if you look at what Ron Paul talks about, especially the economy, he is saying the same thing, just in a different way...people, wake up or suffer the consequences!

No, Americans do deserve this. This is the price of complacency, ignorance, and hubris. The only ones undeserving are those who tried to do something to stop it. The vast majority of sheeple are getting exactly what they deserve.
