Here are some proposed questions:

- What does he stand for?
- Why is he different than all the other GOP candidates?
- How is he different than Democratic candidates? The same?
- I'm a Democrat, why should he be president?
- I'm a minority, why should he be president?
- I'm Jewish...
- I'm a left-coast Liberal, ...?
- Isolationism can't be good, ...
- But the Federal Reserve conspiracy theorists can't be right, see here, they're good for the economy:
http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Embassy/1154/flaherty.html
- I think the Islamists want to conquer the world, why should we be non-interventionist? We need to beat up on them.
- But he said 9/11 is our own fault and we invited the attacks
- Isn't he associated with the 9/11 tin foil hatters?

All, pls. add your proposed questions, and proposed answers.

Why does he want to abolish the IRS? What is his alternative for government revenue?

What is his position on Social Security?

What is his position on Medicare and Medicare drug programs?

How would he overhaul the American health care system?

What is Ron Paul's position on environmental policies?

What is Ron Paul's position on states rights?

What is Ron Paul's position on Indian Gaming?

What is Ron Paul's position on federal drug laws?

I also propose another forum for people to ask questions about Ron Paul. Maybe a debate forum as well.

I think we need a wiki. Here would be my answers:

But he said 9/11 is our own fault and we invited the attacks
Dr. Paul believes our foreign policies in the Middle East contributed to the terrorist's hatred of America. He believes our military presence in the middle east for the past 50 years contributes to the hatred of America by many of the middle east's Muslims, and costs the tax payers vast sums of money. Unless we hunt down the terrorists responsible and disengage from the Middle East, Dr. Paul believes we could face more attacks such as the one against New York City on 9/11.

His views are reflected by numerous others, included the 9/11 Commission Report, and former CIA analyst who specialized in Osama bin Laden from 1996 to 1999, Michael Scheuer.

Isn't he an isolationist?
No. Dr. Paul advocates a policy of non-intervention. He believes in free and open trade and diplomacy with the rest of the world, but not in forceful military intervention into the affairs of other countries. With our troops scattered all across the globe in the Middle East, Germany, Korea, Japan and other countries, Dr. Paul believes bringing them home would greatly strengthen our national defense, our borders, and save our tax payers their hard-earned wealth.

Dr. Paul believes our unpopular military interventions have isolated us diplomatically from the rest of the world.

So he won't do anything to stop crazed dictators like Saddam?
Dr. Paul believes the defense of America should be our military's primary purpose, not nation-building in other countries or policing the world. Unfortunately, the 20th centuries most totalitarian dictators in countries like China and Russia were not met with military resistance from any country. Instead, China and Russia were opened up by trade and the lure of capitalism - not guns and bombs.

A FAQ sounds like a great idea as do some possibilities for other sub-forums, Josh didn't want to subdivide too fast but the forum sees to be marching along, 1600+ posts in under a week.

I like the FAQ on the issues and would also suggest that the responses be as well laid out as possible. I've tried to do this with two issues so far, National ID cards and the WTO Codex standards, in that process I arrived at having sections of information for each issue:

. Ron Paul Campaign Statement (from website)
. Issue Summary
. Why Ron's positions is best
. General information on the issue (neutral stories)
. Information and opinions from experts that support Ron's position
. Past writings Ron has had on the issue

Here are the threads:

Issue: National ID cards
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=123

Issue of health freedom threatened by WTO / Codex
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=100

It would be great if we could put more of these together as a group effort. Having a standard format would be nice, I'm open to suggestions for change. Each issue could have its own thread and the FAQ could list some basic information and reference each thread. I'm planning on doing some more of these but think it would be great to get others involved- well get more done for sure and help provide a great resource!

Without the Department of Homeland Security, how could we be safe?

That's the catch 22, there can never be a guarantee that your going to be safe. As incidents become more prevalent, you will lose more civil liberties, increased surveillance, more police officers (dressed in military garb), travel restrictions, gun control, microchips, etc. Look up the Brits on this board, they know our future all to well.
