" Two week ago, our trend estimate put Kentucky in the toss-up category, but two new recent polls by SurveyUSA and Kentucky cable news channel CN2 put Republican Rand Paul leading Democrat Jack Conway by margins of 15 and 5 points respectively. Our trend estimate now shows Paul leading by 5.3 points (44.9% to 39.6%), enough to shift Kentucky to lean Republican. ..."

Mind you, 'tossup' was optimistic to begin with, most others I've seen had KY at least "leaning" GOP, but it shows the new poll has made a dent even on the 'denial left'.

The article concludes:

"Thus, control of the U.S. Senate rests on the outcome of the seven contests now now in the toss-up category: Colorado, Washington, California, Wisconsin, Illinois, Nevada and Florida."

May they fund their candidates, accordingly....

West Virginia will move to tossup pretty soon.

They don't want their popular democrat governor in Washington. They'd rather have him stay as governor.

It's amazing how much some of these polls vary. 15 and 5 is a huge difference. One of them is doing a really poor job.

I agree. I'm in the capitol city of WV and actually work for state government. At this point I'd say it's a slight lean democrat, but then again, given the current political environment anything is possible. Raese is considered an arrogant POS, but then again, the other guy isn't really looked upon as any better..
