I know many people are going to say shut up and donate (and that's a great idea!!)
I just think that the campaign could make much more if they (or we) set ourselves weekly goals, rather than monthly. I'm curious to see what everybody thinks of this idea and if it is worthwhile to convine the campaign to set weekly goals for us.
The problem is that 4M is a difficult number to digest at one time. People tend to donate more if they can quantify it in their head.
Here is a table that I put together that people could bump if they see fit. It outlines a reachable weekly goal $750,000 / wk and puts the rest of the pressure on increasing our base support to push us to 12M for the quarter. As I outlined it, if we increase our support base by 60% in 3 months I think we can easily achieve the 12M goal for the quarter. We can measure this success by the number of meet-up members compared to now.
By no means don't consider this to be a cop-out for doing everything we can do, I'm just saying easily digestible weekly goals and measuring our support base (like a grassroots thermometer) seem like good ideas to me.
