Just wondering what people think about attendence numbers for the "Rally for the Republic" I am wanting to come from Colorado because this is a future changing event of a lifetime.

I firmly believe they'll sell out. The venue holds about 14,000 if I remember correctly.

Wow, what are you basing your assumption on?

Well, not a lot. The fact that the D.C. march seemed to draw more than half that number, and twice as many people seem intent on going to this one. The situation, the times, the dissatisfaction. People's hunger after all our canvassing to enjoy the company of the like minded. The desire to (reluctantly) put Dr. Paul's historic campaign to bed with a bang!

It is our best chance to really be heard--and we are all aching to really be heard!

despite the Revolutions continued success, perhaps we are all hoping to be a part of a miraculous event that with shape our nation for years to come. I hope your assumtion is correct.

I think the venue holds 20,000.

I don't think it will sell out...I'm rather worried Paul will be speaking to a half empty stadium. We couldn't get 10,000 people to the revolution march, and that was in the densely populated northeast corridor. Minnesota is a long drive from all of the densely populated areas of the country.

I'm hoping these secret musicians will draw in a lot of fence sitters.

If the number of postings on this forum is any indication then it will be a very low number. We need to start advertising the heck out of this. We have to sell this place out or we will look very bad. Surely there are enough liberty minded individuals that live in Minnesota to sell it out. If Jesse Ventura can win there I would think it wouldn't be a problem to sell it out, but people must know about it first. So we need to promote it especially in Minnesota.

Paul all by his lonesome had no problem drawing over 4000 here before super tuesday, just metro-area locals for the most part. Ok, he wasn't quite alone, the grandkids came along. I do expect MN to be able to about double that number for this event, and from there its up to the rest of the country. But I'm just guessing here, we should know more as the tickets sell.

The possibility is good that this indeed is a bookmark in the history of reclamation of these United States and it's constitution.

I hope many more than this shows up. I don't just want to beat John McCain's speech at the convention. I want to beat Obama's outdoor venue. He's copying Ron Paul's idea. He only announced he was accepting his nomination at a stadium after Ron Paul announced the rally. So I want to beat Obama. I want more people to attend the Rally than Obama's acceptance.

I disagree- Minnesota is relatively centrally located.

DC is a long trip from Texas, and a PITA to reach from the West Coast.

MN is reachable from anywhere with minimal hassle (no cross country trips).

On top of that, the weather will be better- DC in the summer is just nasty. DC is also more expensive.

Plus, I suspect a lot of people are like me- we knew we could only make one event, and decided that the CFL event was going to be bigger and more important. The day they announced the CFL event, I decided to skip the DC rally.

I know two who are attending -- my wife and I booked our flights today. I agree, the Rally for the Republic will be a future changing event. I do not have a crystal ball to see the future but I can sense a major change is coming in the way this country is being run. I truly believe the neocons and socialists have had their day.

he was originally set to accept at the pepsi center, which is around the same size as the target center, ~18000
he is now set to accept at Invesco Field at Mile High, just across the street, with 76,000

how the democratic committee can afford that, i have no idea. i guess they just assume they'll print the money to cover it if he gets in office, or someone else will take care of it for them.
