Regarding Nevada Delegates ? 37 to National Convention
Hans explained that in Nevada 29 delegates are chosen at the state convention from the delegates attending; 3 delegates are automatically made delegates by virtue of their positions in the State Republican Party. Those three are Sue Lowden as the RP chairperson, and two others from the state RP officers. BUT there are still five more delegates that must be voted in. (These 5 may be called bonus delegates, I?m not sure.)
These delegates are NOT automatically delegates. They must be voted in.
They do not have and automatic win! They could loose to other delegates. They are Governor Gibbons, Congressman Porter, Senator Ensign, Congressman Heller and State Senator Raggio. All of these delegates have to be voted in and they can lose this vote and not be elected, which may mean that more Paul supporters have the potential of being National Delegates. 29 + 3 + 5 = 37 national delegates for Nevada.
