How in the Heck can Lake Jackson....

Yea but it would be nice to use as a rallying point for people that aren't usually political there.

Not have a meetup group.

5 are interested but no meetup group yet in RP's hometown. :(

Meh, it doesn't really need one. Its a suburb of Houston and Houston has a pretty big group. And also, give them a break. They've given Ron Paul decades in Congress. Let them rest now.

HAHAHA...

Hardly, my friend.

Lake Jackson is like an HOUR to the south of Houston...

Well if any one of you people feel strongly about it, you can organize your own Lake Jackson group and coordinate it remotely by phone and internet. If there are already 5 people waiting to sign up, all you have to do is start the group and get their contact numbers, call them up or email them, and seeing if they want to get together in any way to help RP. Personally I don't care that much whether or not there is a Lake Jackson meetup group.

*sits with bag of popcorn and waits for kylejack's answer about how he knows so much more about SE Texas geography*

Yeah, and I lived in Angleton. What's your point?
If its in the viewing area of the local news, its a suburb as far as I'm concerned. 1 hour is not too far to drive for a huge Ron Paul Meetup group, especially when the city you live in only has about 25,000 people. A Ron Paul Meetup group is not needed in Lake Jackson because the district has already proven itself to be Ron Paul fans, despite several primary battles from other Republicans. We don't need activism down there, we need it up here, where there's 6 million people in the Houston metropolitan area.

Ben from Lake Jackson certainly thought it seemed like a good idea to join the Houston Meetup: http://ronpaul.meetup.com/24/members/4234726/

So how are people down there, everyday people not ordinarily associated with RP, supposed to stay organized and stay tuned to national events, like call/mail Iowa?
