Hillary scared of Ron Paul
Posted November 9th, 2007 by chappy
So interesting day for me. I do alot of Advertising sales in the Iowa area. I stopped by one of my clients today to drop of some marketing materials and her daughter was in the office waiting to leave. They were going to Indianola Iowa to help prepare for the Hillary Clinton visit. This ladies daughter is the central iowa Hillary campaign manager. They started talking about Hillary and how awsome she is (didn't say anything... customers always right). They were gloating about how Hillary has closed up the Iowa vote and now all they have to concentrate on now is who the R's (republicans) will elect. They asked me who I was voting for and followed immediatly with Ron Paul. The daughter looked at me with a smile and said that "Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate the Hillary is worried about". WOW!!! that blew my mind... Having a Hillary supporter let alone a campaign manager saying those words!!!
So Hillary supports Ron Paul?

Great story!

I look forward to RP debating Hillary some day. Hillary's summary:

"I'm melting, I'm melting!" :D

Thanks for the insider info :D

You know all the "top tiers" are keeping a close eye on us.

Wow, wasn't expecting this...but, then again, I'm not surprised.

I bet that Hillary (no doubt she'll get the nomination) will be quaking in her boots if Ron gets the Republican nomination....let's just look at a few facts:

-like it or not, there's a great many Americans (democrat or Republican) that really don't want to vote for a woman...which weakens her position.
-she flip-flops like crazy...if Edward's video of "politics of parsing" really gets passed around and advertised, it'll get a lot of the "pull out of Iraq" democrats to think "wait a minute, she's for staying in?" to switch over to "we just marched in, we can just march out" Ron Paul.
-She's a Clinton, which instantly puts a huge flag up for a number of people.
-she can be really pushy at times, which turns people off.

Here is a follow up .....at the daily paul

chappy says:
she talked about the other R candidates ie rudy, mitt. What was holding them back from beating their mighty Hillary. Thats when she started in on Ron Paul how he is solid on the war issue and has the perfect record in congress.... yada yada yada. short, but very sweet to my ears.

Hillary used to support our views, before she started college.

She campaigned for Barry Goldwater in 1964. So she probably has some understanding of our point-of-view. and knows what a powerful message we have.

According to the wikipedia article, she decided that Nixon and the Republican party were corrupt in 1968, and switched Democrat. Why she became such a socialist, is a mystery.

But she should fear Ron Paul. He's the real deal, and she once believed in a similar message. Now she wants government to force it's will upon us all, so I imagine she will put up a strong (dirty?) fight.

I wonder if she'll start "refining" her positions now, taking a harder stance against the Iraq War, and talking about fiscal responsibility? Maybe Bill the attack dog will make some choice comments about Dr. Paul?

Someone should photoshop Hillary's face on this image:

RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!

wow, that'd be beyond scary.

Any way, it's a shame that she switched to being a Democrat...just because your party is corrupt doesn't mean that the other party isn't (nor does it mean your currently held values/ideologies are wrong either). I wonder how much different she'd be like if she would have stuck with her values and ideologies, but stayed in the Republican party and attempted to change it/stand out like Ron has.....she still might have ended up as a corrupt politician...but then again, who knows?

I doubt she would have married Bill if she would have stuck with the Republican party though...

She is subtle

Greetings All,

Hillary used to support our views, before she started college.

She campaigned for Barry Goldwater in 1964. So she probably has some understanding of our point-of-view. and knows what a powerful message we have.

<sarcasm>

Why, don't you all realize that Hillary Clinton is STILL a true Goldwater Conservative and as soon as she gets into office she will renounce her big-government socialist ways and govern as a such?

That's been the plan for 40 years now. She's just very patient.

</end sarcasm>

I think that the powers-that-be (not the rank and file GOP) would rather see the Republicans lose and Hillary win than to have Ron Paul become President. I thought the main reason for the straw polls was to be an indicator of who has the most real "on the ground" support as opposed to just name recognition. For the GOP leadership to ignore and even cancel them because of Ron Paul winning says, to me, that they are going to throw this election to the Democrats. Or at least try to.

Convert Necons with this

I find that when trying to get neo cons to come back to reality, I tell them that Ron is the only one that will beat Hillary. I always say that 70 percent of Americans are against the war and no pro Iraq war canidate is going to win the general election. I always ask them would you rather there be a Democrat in the white house, (which will happen if Ron doesn't win) ending the war, or would you rather a Republican in the White House ending the war? They usually come around after that mainly because they understand how dangerous Hillary is.

It's true.

A friend of a friend (I know, I know...but I trust the source of the info) works in the White House. He is a liberal but also supports Dr. Paul. He told my friend that Democrats there are scared to death of Ron Paul, because his ideas would set their progressive nanny-state agenda back DECADES.

I am very much looking forward to making a trip to Washington D.C. in January 2009 to see this man be inaugurated. That is going to be one heck of a party!
