i think my brother like rp and will vote for him. wearing my first ron paul shirt today - i bought 4. and they will be well used. but he's making fun of me saying it's a waste of time and money, he's not going to win, he has like 0% in the gallup polls and they are well accepted as accurate etc etc. what do i say to people saying this?

standing up for your beliefs is not a waste of anything. trying to pick the winner as though you're betting on a football game is an ignorant approach to democracy. it's not a horserace -- you vote and support the guy who is the best representation of your ideals. all the rest can suck a stump.

If everyone truly felt like that nothing would ever be accomplished. Tell him that his view isn't logical because subscribing to his viewpoint would mean that the status quo can never be challenged successfully.

History shows that it can be overcome, though it is never easy.
