I've been gone for a while.
Needed a break from it all after Super Tuesday.

If you could summarize for me what's happened since then in 10 points, what would they be?

I'd like to get caught up, but I don't want to read 1000 threads.

Anybody help me out?

Major delegate wins all over the place about sums it up. check the Washington section for the latest wins.

1. It was decided that Dr. Paul could win the nomination yet because delegates actually do the voting at the convention. So, people began infiltrating their local G.O.P. structures and getting national delegate slots.

2. It was decided we lost the presidential run and the thing to do was to get as many lesser offices as possible. So, people began infiltrating their local G.O.P. structures and running for lesser offices.

3. The two factions above were stirred into a pissing contest by a bunch of trolls and still spit at each other occasionally. Nonetheless, both continue to do much the same thing for not dissimilar goals.

4. Local G.O.P. structures realized that true conservatives cared much more than, and were much smarter than, neocon shills and heated up the old "Al Qaeda of the G.O.P." rhetoric. They are still trying to rally their shills against us.

5. Much vitriol was spewed about whether or not the official national campaign was worth it's weight in deep fried dung beetles. Considerable energy was expended by people who all valued it in this neighborhood debating whether it fell above or below the line.

6. Dr. Paul finished his day job sufficiently to run up to Pennsylvania and get back on the campaign trail.

7. News organizations that were falsely claiming that Dr. Paul had dropped out were reminded what an email bomb could do to one's server.

8. The trolls decided we weren't worth the trouble any more and mostly went away (except for a few claiming we should all wear Ron Paul t-shirts to the local conventions so the neocon shills can discredit us).

9. The forum relaxed and loosened up a bit.

10. You came back. Welcome!

1. Jonathan Bydlak from the official campaign started posting here and is willing to answer most all of the questions people have of HQ.
2. SteveMartin stated that there was a gay, Buddhist conspiracy in HQ, which caused the losses.
3. SeekLiberty has taken a hiatus from posting on the boards, which caused speculation that there's a conspiracy behind his disappearance.
4. We're trying to shift directions to get as many delegates as possible and to support people running for office who stand on similar platforms as Ron Paul.
5. We have determined that Wal-Mart isn't quite as evil as Monsanto.
6. Ghemminger lost his mind, his wife and quite possibly his kids due to his own irresponsible behavior.

I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting, but those are the highlights from recent times.

Welcome back!

WOW Guys...thank you!!

couple of questions....if I may...RP doesn't have much of a shot at winning the GOP nod right?
I know in MN, we were all pretty active in getting as many delegates and alternates in as we could. We did quite well in some areas. Maybe even 50% of them of RP supporters.
I know we are pissing them off left and right, so we must be doing something right.

Ghemminger really lost his mind? He was going off the deep end for a while there, but what happened?

What's the skinny on the official campaign HQ? Were they way over their heads? Were they worth a sh1t? What did Jonathan say about it all?

You're trying to stir the "factions" up again. We have lots of delegates to national. If McCain either a) gets disqualified or b) pisses enough Republicans off, we stand an excellent chance of preventing the neocons from sticking someone else in there. 'Nuff said, I hope (and pray...).

Did George have a mind to lose? He quit us forever about three times. Guess we should have chipped in and bought him patches.

The campaign was a mixed bag--long on brains, short on experience. Dr. Paul, meanwhile, refused to do like the Three Stooge--er, I mean the Three Senators and miss all their votes to spend all their time on the campaign trail. So, he did his day job and the others made more campaign appearences. That was the jist of Jonathan's take on it.

In the end, I think it's still safe to blame the media. But that's neither here nor there...

On your first point, there is still a lot of debate about whether or not RP has a shot. You'll have to make up your own mind. I'm of the opinion that he doesn't and won't spend any more effort there. RP's got his Congressional seat tied up, and that's a good thing.

The delegates thing I'm not involved in, but I see the value in it.

Either Ghemminger really lost his mind, or he has a never-ending need for attention.

From what I gathered from Jonathan on HQ: Things could have been better, could have been worse. They were all dedicated to winning, but up against some seriously insurmountable odds. They ran a better and more economical campaign than Giuliani, Romney, Huckabee, etc,.

Ha Ha Ha....I like the way you think. I appreciate your candor. It's refreshing.

How is it looking on the RP-minded Congress candidates?

Ah, and the neocon wing of the GOP is scared. Parties is some states and localities are trying to find ways to exclude our delegates. They even seem to be sending their minions here to ask silly questions about our plans and try to find out exactly what we are planning to do. We are more powerful than most of us realize. :)
