First, dont move this from this forum it has to do with Ron Paul and the Gold Standard.
Greenspan was on the Daily Show about a month back and it was very good interview. In it he states:
1. We do not have a true free market, as long as there is a central bank controlling the monney supply there is no free market.
2. There was no need for the Federal Reserve when we where on the Gold Standard( which just shows that the FED was NOT needed when it was created)
3. He talks about how much "power" the fed has on affecting the economy.

Dont knwo how many people saw this, but I sure hope it raised some eyebrows on the Fed, btw not that greenspan is out of the Fed, he should really question the necessity of a central back especially considering how he is/was an objectivist or libertarian an was a proponent of the gold standard...
