government form

Constitutional Republic, thx.

I know some people would say, "We've tried it. It failed." But what new endeavor succeeds perfectly on the first attempt? There's so much we could do to repair our current constitution, and indeed improve upon it for the future.

I actually like the idea of Meritocrasy. i know its a form of authoritarianism, and really against American principals, but giving leadership to the most qualified is better than giving it to the least qualified, like the last 2 elections and this up coming election.

But i wouldn't change my Constitutional Republic for the world.

Eh, I suppose anarcho-capitalism and republicanism appeal to me best. :shocker:

Not going to read everyone of those forms, but I scanned a few.

A meritocracy does not sound very appealing to me in regards to preserving liberty. Sounds weak and with plenty of opportunity to go wrong, just a tad bit of imagination can see that.

lol, see The Matrix, Metal Gear Solid 4, iRobot, etc.

its definitely no way to preserve liberty, its a form of authoritarianism. And the actual application of this form of government is fraught with pitfalls, namely, who gets to decide who is the most qualified.

I was commenting strictly on the ideal or philosophy. Its obviously not realistically feasible.
