Rep. Phil Roe (R-Tenn.) announced Friday that he will not seek reelection, making the six-term lawmaker the latest House Republican to head for the doors.
"After prayerful consideration, I have decided to retire at the end of the 116th Congress," Roe said in a statement.
"Serving East Tennesseans these past 11 years has been the honor of my life, and I will be forever grateful for the trust my friends and neighbors put in me to represent them," said Roe, the top Republican on the House Veterans' Affairs Committee. "As someone who practiced medicine for over 30 years, I said I would serve five or six terms because I never intended this job to be a second career."

Do we have someone here that can fill his seat? I'd be willing to provide my endorsement, for the right candidate.

After prayerful consideration? Can't it be enough that he's 74?

All he's gotta say is; "Look I'm an ol' bastard, so I'm out this btch"

Well on the negative side , it is probably a hit for veterans . On the plus side having someone who would not be 77 at the end of the term may be OK. It is east Tenn though so finding good candidates may not be easy .

Do you think that you could convince that Navy seal that Trump just pardoned to run?

He could be the new poster-boy for a new Republican Party.

He and Trump now have something in common.

And America craves it more than even Brawdo.
