Fund Raising Question - Car Wash for Change

Carwash for Change

Not pocket change but rather change in our political system. The carwash is for a minimum campaign contribution of $25.00. (is that a realistic figure?) Proceeds help delegates and volunteers get to the convention.

Locations: Neighborhood Supermarkets / Retail merchants
When: Week-ends
Agenda: Teenagers wash the cars (with adult supervision) while other adults talk the issues.

Details of supplies needed:
Water hoses
Buckets
Sponges
Windshield squeegies
Drying cloths
Tire brushes
Soap
Teenagers
Large street sign / billboard
Campaign Paraphernalia - literature & yard signs
Money box
receipts

I have this idea but I haven't ever done anything like this before. I would appreciate some experienced suggestions on the proper procedure for success.

Are there any legal issues, permits or official officers from the GOP who need to be involved?
 
nothing official really. Just go find a place explain to them the who what where when and why and then ask if you can use their lot.

If you go to Wal-Mart parking lots you need an employee sponser useually.
