If we're lucky and Ron Paul wins, wouldn't he be the first President since Abraham Lincoln to go from being a Representative to being the President?

Of course, Lincoln had a gap of years where he was a Lawyer between the House and Pres.

yes... tis an old thread. doctor ron paul gave it his all!
sec of state, veep, governor and senator usually happen
after mayor or representative for our group of potuses.
jerry ford was a creature of the house of representatives
but even he was a vepp fleetingly first. once again, if
rand paul does not run in 2016 it would be rather cool to
get behind john dennis or representative justin amash!!!
