I didn't and figured other people might not as well. There have been a lot of people who are very concerned about the donation issue and this is one way of refuting it that I was unaware of until recently.

You don't need to watch the video, just know that Ron Paul has considered a black man as a potential VP, that kills the negative racist press.

I agree, and didn't even know about the Washington Post article until I happened upon that video.

We all like visual things like videos, and this is short, concise and to the point. I will refer anyone who argues the racist card to that. It backs up what Ron Paul says and believes in efficiently.

So do you, like me, think this absolutely kills the BS racist argument that the media spreads about Ron Paul? I argued it from philosophical viewpoints before, but this video and the supporting evidence are absolutely concrete evidence that he's not a racist and doesn't support racist viewpoints.

I like concrete evidence, so do most other people.

The whole "Ron Paul the closet racist" thing is a non-issue and is seen as unreasonable by reasonable people.

The MSM however, IS unreasonable and will continue to promote this story ad infinitum, and those that blindly follow the media are unreachable anyway...so no real loss.

I know that we know he isn't a racist. It's quite obvious when you know his stances and listen to his viewpoints, but this was simply meant to be another tool to refute those allegations. I'm not sure why this was such an unpopular thing to post in the forums.

I guess ignoring the issue of the past few days is the way to go?

I hope that the video and subsequent research will help. I've done some research on this because I'm part Jewish and Ron Paul is a tough sell in that sector. I can tell you that in the meetup groups, there are several African-Americans and Jews there, so perhaps it would help to take her to a meeting.

The term "racist" is thrown around so much I want to throw up whenever I hear it. Anyone who takes a serious stand against immigration will be called a racist. Heck, even Lou Dobbs who has a Mexican wife. It has completely lost its meaning to me.

Do you think this girl will actually vote in the primaries? I don't. I highly doubt anyone who will not vote for Ron Paul because the media calls him racist is intelligent enough to support him. Most people who use the term racist are supporters of other candidates trying to take us down. We don't need to defend Ron Paul from their baseless accusations.

If you feel you must defend against it I will say mention Ron Paul has the most support among black Republicans. Although, anyone who calls him racist are just looking to smear him and will never vote for him. There is nothing wrong with this thread but people are getting tired of talking about these smears that are so untrue.
