For any who believe Islam is not a threat to the United States

Well i'm of the belief the United States is the main threat to the United States...not to mention to the rest of the world!

Well I have a friend who worked in military intelligence in Iraq for years and said the threat is less real than made out to be, so I guess it depends on who you talk to. Of course he is not CIA, but he is involved at the highest levels of the Army and most of what he does is classified.

He also said that the US doesn't have the time, money or organization to spy on its own citizens, and that the surveillance bills don't mean much... yet. No one is listening in on phone conversations and there's no central "command center" that monitors every call made in the US. No one is flagging you for a terrorist every time you say "bomb" ;)

Im sorry but im watching this with a purely open mind and it feels like propaganda.

It seems as though its actually trying to make americans feel like it cant trust any muslims, because a few are radical.

FACT:

Radical Islam has always existed, and has always been a threat, in some way. It's a controllable threat, especially if every american is still protected by the 2nd ammendment. The real terrorists are the ones making policy, demonizing the american people around the world. The reason this hatred exists to the level it does, has all to do with foreign policy.

This film also goes on about how 1 in 4 American Muslims find suicide bombings to defend their religion acceptable. Is this news? How long has the q'uran existed? The old testament also has god killing women for disobedience, and many christians believe the killing of Muslim children is okay (evident by the hundred's of thousands of dead children in this christian supported war).

Of course suicide terrorism is a viable tactic to defend something you love. THe japanese understood this, the muslims understand it as well. We're killing their children and dominating their holy land for selfish purposes... of course they are willing to die to resist us... i would be if someone started invading canada and stealing our resources tomorrow. The killing of innocents is simply wrong, but suicide terrorists got NOTHING on "Freedom Bombs". Fuck this movie!

I believe there is a terrorist threat, but i do not believe 2 wars, and sanctions on others, are necessary to control it.

Origonal reply has been cut and pasted into its own tread.

I watched to the point where Rudy Guiliani and Joe Lieberman explained why the threat of radical Islam is being downplayed. Then an automatic shut-off switch was activated in my brain, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't help but hit the x in the corner of the tab.

Ha, glad I wasn't alone in that. All propagandistic bullshit:mad:

Nobody else around here got a free terrorist propaganda DVD in the mail?

Fear sells..... who's buyin'.

Oh yeah, and, a friend of a friends friend said that this one friend of theirs was talking to his neighbors cousin that knew this one guy and............................

Radical Christians are much, much more of a threat.

They're the ones on our own soil, who own all of the legislative power.

I did not post this link to support the war or any of our governments actions since 9/11. I simply put it up here so you could hear what it had to say. Radical Islam is a threat and there goals are clearly stated. My relative has told me many times they have killed these cells in NYC. The stories do not make the papers. They will not hire police officers for his job because they arer trained to ask questions first shoot second.

He has no such restrictions put on him. But by the time they are moving in on the cells they are quite sure of their motives.

I do not agree with the Iraq war, but I am not going to bury my head in the sand when it comes to this threat......

Somebody had the nerve to MAIL me, as in US POSTAL MAIL me a copy of this video, from an unknown source, now aside from the fact Im probably gonna die of Anthrax, the whole video was nothing more than "they hate us" and some more "they hate us" with a sprinkle of "they hate us" to top it all off. I think we get that they hate us. Hmm, maybe if our leaders were not pissing in their cheerios, er, well um, cheerio singular and trying to aim their piss straight thru the hole of that singular cheerio, they wouldnt hate us so freakin much.

Its not really any suprise, we've been screwing over that whole reigon for at least 50 years, which comes to generation after generation of those that may not have had extremist views to begin with to going as extreme as possible. I could probably talk more but doubt anyone else is really interested in further comments about how and why they hate us.

I'll just close this post with this: You get what you pay for.:(

Raise your hand if you know a Muslim.
Now raise your hand if you know a "They hate us because we're free!" Christian.

Who makes you more nervous?

Yeah, gotta watch out for people like Ron Paul.

Actually, I think people who HATE Christians and people of other religions, are the threat.

Neither. But, I do spend time trying to talk sense to the propagandized Christian. Look guys, their pastors have filled their head with this fear about muslims. They just need to be deprogrammed, as it were.

qft..

I got one of the "Obsession" DVDs in the mail last week. I'm far more afraid of all the people in my city who will take it as the gospel and demand more "security" from the government than I am from the people in the middle east. They have a minority group to hate and demonize - now all they need is a Hitler type to tell them that we need to go invade some Middle Eastern countries. oh.. wait a sec...

They hate each other. They hate the Jews. They hate the Hindus. They hate the bhuddists. No reason to think they'd like us. (Although the Iranians actually do. They like western culture quite a lot, with the exception of US foreign policy.)

Good thing there's a big freaking ocean between us and them.

I'm glad as well that my opinion is shared by majority here. The biggest threat to USA is humongous ignorance (or simply put – stupidity) and arrogance of Americans. People educated by uneducated underpaid teachers in schools where creationism is considered to be a credible theory, who don’t go further then their state border and start bragging that they are well traveled after a vacation trip to Mexico, people whose only source of information is propagandistic and rigged American media, these people are the biggest threat to America. But unfortunately they are America :(

I have a relative in the CIA and he has told me in private conversation that the threat is more real then Americans want to believe.

The CIA is fucking incompetent, they've had a long history of being completely wrong about outside threats.

Ron Paul is not a "radical Christian", nor does he have much power, so I wouldn't twist his post that much.

Its pretty clear what type of Christian he is referring to, the neocons. I've also encountered some Marxist Christians.

Do you understand that Islam is a religion and not a collection of people? Considering this, the above statement makes absolutely no sense (even if you used "their" instead of "there")

Maybe you would be taken a little bit more seriously if you said "Some of the radical followers of Islam are a threat to us" instead of saying the actual religion is a threat.

Being threatened by a religion makes about as much sense as fighting a war against a tactic.
