First Blog Post WIP

I have a Work In Progress called "Why is it so hard to understand?"

I've always wanted to write but never practiced much. I've posted Part 1 of this entire work to my blog.

I recognize immediately this is very amateur work, but I also recognize that while harsh, criticism is an excellent teacher.

I'd appreciate it if anyone who is interested takes a look at it and gives me an honest opinion.

You obviously hold deep convictions that many of us share and you are an intelligent person. But since we share so much, why would we want to read yet another manifesto that agrees with the positions we already hold. For people that don't hold your convictions, you will lose them as quickly as asking them to read John Galt's speech.

For a blog, what I like to read is personal and short stories/observations that tie into your convictions or that would lead others into understanding your convictions. Why not posts limited to one issue at a time? "The Principal Wants My Kid to be a Junkie" and then how as a mother you are affected or fear the public school system encouraging psychotropic drugs to handle students, etc..

As a working mom, you have a perspective that can help bring others into the light through logical persuasion.

I applaud your efforts to write down your thoughts and hope you continue to blog.

Thank you very much for your assessment and advice. I can see how a lengthy post can drive people away. I have another blog that is on the Bloggers network that I've really not been utilizing. I think I may mirror the two blogs.

Yeah, I should have broken it down and shortened it some. I've seen several things that are repetitive (and thus probably boring to the reader) that could have been eliminated. Sorry its so long, the entire "essay" is a work in progress. I'd like to find correlations in current news stories to provide examples for my rationale.

But, its a work in progress and I'm new to blogging. Hope I make some strong points even if it is a bit wordy.
