I see what you're saying, but his personal issues do not make him any less of a director/writer. I find him repulsive personally. I also find Ike Turner disgusting, but he was a damn good musician. Mozart was an asshole, but his symphonies are amazing. Einstein was even a bit of a jerk, but he's still one of the greatest scientists. . . you get my point. I separate the art from the artist as a person.

I decided long ago when thinking about music and how much rampant sexism there is in popular/rock/rap and decided that I just can't limit myself to The Indigo Girls, KD Lang and Pat Boone.

Seems like the joke version of Casino Royale wasn't too bad, but that was a long time ago. Mostly Allen's films have served to let me know that I have precious little patience listening to rich people whine in New York accents.

Never, ever watch Seinfeld either. No coincidence.

I can relate to that to some degree. I freely admit to being about 85 percent unsocialized jerk myself, so I give great leeway to assholes in the arts and sciences. Its when simple assholism morphs into harming the weak and young and defenseless (i.e. child molesters like Roman Polanski and pedos like Woody Allen) that I draw the line. You are correct in considering Woody Allen to be one of America's most talented artists. But I have no use for him as a person and wish he would simply die screaming in some deliciously horrible fashion.

Andrea Bocelli and Norah Jones are in heavy rotation on my hard drive right now.

If I were Mia Farrow, I would have seen to that. I have very little respect for her because, while she was pissed off, she did nothing.

I never cared much for his work. Some I found mildly amusing, but most was boring. I really don't understand why he was that highly rated.
What does bother me is the accusations and attacks concerning his personal life.

From what I have been able to find out, he was only accused of molesting one of Farrows adopted daughters during a bitter separation. he was found NOT GUILTY.
The young woman he married was of legal age.
I don't like the guy or care for his style or choices, but am am disturbed by a bunch of unfounded accusations, and personal attacks.

If you don't like him don't watch his stuff.

That is what I was talking about. SHE WAS NOT AND NEVER WAS HIS DAUGHTER.
She was his girlfriends adopted daughter, and she was legal age.
