Unless there's a mega-shock in Thursday's Iowa caucuses results, this will be the lineup of candidates invited to the pivotal debates that ABC-TV, WMUR and Facebook are sponsoring Saturday night on the campus of St. Anselm College.
Democrats: Hillary Rodham Clinton, John Edwards, Barack Obama and Bill Richardson.
Republicans: Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson.
Who is left out? Joe Biden, Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., former Sen. Mike Gravel, D-Alaska, Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., and Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio.
The debate format is also designed to bring the candidates out of the comfortable sound-bite answers and engage one another.Republicans go first, followed by the Democratic candidates.
ABC "World News'' anchor Charles Gibson will shepherd the first half of both 90-minute encounters, tossing out an issue and letting all the candidates have at it. Without a strict time limit, that could lead to some back and forth.
WMUR political director Scott Spradling will handle the next 30-minute block with traditional timed questions. The last 15 minutes will have a lightning-round quality with shorter windows for answers to get in more questions and help ensure all candidates get a sufficient amount of air time.
