This is getting unbelievable, we are living in a fascist state with no government accountability. It's here for everyone to see but we choose to ignore it.

Thank God for Pat Leahy, if he weren't in the senate I doubt the hearings would have even gotten this far. There has to be a way for congress to get around this executive privilege bullshit, because it's gotten to the point where an employee WE pay for with OUR TAXES doesn't have to tell us what he does at his job! We are never going to get justice if we keep allowing Bush to do this for everyone.

I'm not sure Leahy wants to get to the bottom of this any more than anyone else. It may be the prosecutor in him having a temper tantrum.

Bush has used (ABUSED) the power of the presidency to set himself up in a dictatorial position. I fear that this nation is going to come to a bad end - and soon - if something doesn't change drastically.

I think Leahy is one of the few still fighting for We The People. He and his counterpart, Bernie Sanders (Independent, Vermont), seem to be some of the last few patriots left in our Congress. When we see men like Dennis Kucinich blasting Donald Rumsfeld with questions on the Pat Tillman cover-up, we know we have someone on our side. Leahy's trying to everything he can, but can only do so much all by himself. Where is the rest of Congress to support him?

Basically, Leahy seems to be wanting to work his way up the chain of command and ultimately get to Cheney. Neither one of them like one another. The only problem is Leahy isn't GUILTY OF TREASON. Without men like these and the one and only Ron Paul, how do we have a fighting chance?
