And then there were five....without Fred and Hunter, will Dr. Paul get to participate more than in the past debates? What does everyone think, yes or no? I hope NBC will be fair to the Doctor and he will have a chance to fully participate in the debate.

I kept track and so have others on the last two debates, and they were giving him equal time. So that is good. I think they will tonight as well. I think MSM is starting to catch a lot of hell for the unfair and unbalanced coverage. But yeah I know, they still don't give him coverage in the news at all unless it's to make him look bad.

They will have to give him more time or it would be waaay to obvious, but it will not be fun for him I am guessing and they will ask him some childish questions again my guess. The others, with maybe the exception of Romney this time (a Romney supporter came on this board and there was a good discussion including telling the guy/girl that Romney should apologize to Paul and does not look good to RP supporters the way he acts on stage), will ridicule/interupt/laugh is also my guess. It will be a circus, my other guess.

The economy is the big issue, and they know RP would blow the others away, let's see how much of a chance they give Ron to talk about it.

This should be the most interesting debate yet.

This is an excellent opportunity for RP.
BUT, he needs to be more concise. I have watched almost all the debates and he suffers from throwing too much into his answers. He links this to this to this. Which may be all well and true, but I fear the TV audience gets lost.
He needs to feed the public smaller morsels. Tight answers to the specific question.
When asked about foreign policy, do not launch into the national debt. Just answer the question.

Paul spoke longer then any other candidate besides huckabee last debate.

Stevo, I agree totally. Concise answers are the key and with the economy in the forefront of the news, this is THE debate to really turn some heads.

But, you know the media... all of the economic questions will go to the others and Dr. Paul will get the "So, do your supporters really believe we never landed on the moon?"

It's going to be an interesting evening.

I heard that in the last debate he actually said more words than all of the other candidates. He better get equal or more time.

I don't think he got equal time, he just talks fast. ;)

They may not have enough time to spare...they have to *help* Huck and McCain who are (boohoo) low on funds and poor, poor Giuliani MUST win FL...

RP got good time in the Fox debate because McCain and Huck attacked him - which allowed for him to respond (and he kicked their butts).

I'm afraid the others may have learned that attacking RP works against them, so they will have their own blackout of RP and squabble amongst each other, which will give RP less time and since he is not in any big scuffles, seem like a non-factor.

Hope I am wrong and some idiot is stupid enough to go after Paul.

They WILL give him equal coverage!!

For one reason only....The more the other guys talk the more their number's fall!!! So the idea is to let the guy with No chance* talk the whole time and then they can smile and laugh at his ideas.

This should be a fun night!!!

This would be funny if it wasnt so true, the media has dropped to a new childish low.

My prediction is McCain and Hucklebee will attack Romney while blowing kisses to each other. Rudy will be attacking anyone that he think will boost his already pathetic running(why is he even there?). McCain might try another jab at RP about the occupation with poor results.

Ron Paul I have a good feeling will kick some serious ass tonight. MSNBC will be caught off guard. He knows that the economy is where he predicted and he now has less competition on the stage. He has been preparing for this moment for the past 30 years. Viewers will pay close attention to economy talk, ignoring most other issues.

After Fox tried to humiliate him by asking his electability in the last debate he is ready to smack anyone upside the head that asks him a stupid question. Ron Paul knows he is the smartest candidate on that stage and tonight he will confidently show it.

It all depends whether the other candidates attack RP or not. If they do, RP gets to respond. If they lay off, RP won't get much action as the attacks are going elsewhere.
