For those that are going to the Phoenix rally,

-Is the area where we'll be protesting generally safe?
-Will I need to worry about being harassed by cops/authorities/pickpockets?

Thanks! This info will help me in figuring out how to get myself together and planning a day with y'all.:D:) (I may have more questions later)

1 - a - anywhere Ed is can be considered "safe", from all but the most reckless criminals (The only place I've ever seen him unarmed is in DC)

b - You will be with hundreds of freedom activists who are generally very protective of our own.

2 - See "b" above. In NYC we made great friends with the detail sent to monitor us. Generally, as long as you are not antagonizing them, you will be quite safe.

Glad to see you enthused about this. You are going to like the AZ crew...

We actually have a 'team' of Active-Duty Police Officers that come to these events (they were there in November) that are advocates for our Rights that make initial contact with any other officers that might roll up on us. We had a completely peaceful Rally with no incidents whatsoever at the first Rally, and pickpockets are not a worry with this crowd - a majority of attendees know one another from the last couple of years of activism, and newcomers are welcomed as family (once they've stated their beliefs and why they are there - yes - we often ask newcomers why they attended and see where thay are coming from - we have to be wary too).

As for the area being 'safe', this specific FRB location is hidden away in a RESIDENTIAL area that is as safe as one can get surrounded by a hundred Patriots on a Saturday morning (yes Mike, I was armed in November and will be likewise Saturday! - and I will not be alone...).

Hopefully you will get a better idea after checking out the links I sent you privately.

Ed
