Dress code idea for march

The other day i was watching a documentary about the Hippie movement. I believe at one point they mentioned about a march they did but that it wasn't as effective as previous civil rights and other marches. A possible reason they cited is that people just have a tough time believing someone dressed the way hippies dressed.

This got me to thinking, would it be twice as effective especially for news coverage if we all dressed up. Men in suits or similar classic attire and women in dresses or similar classy attire. Not to enforce a dress code or anything or take away individuality but it would be interesting at the very least to show we are not all just kiddies on the internet supporting the movement, that we are upstanding citizens fighting for a real cause. Clothing also being a reference to old time American principles... Just a thought and it would look quite interesting

edit- I dont own suits just saying not going bummy off the streets look

im in.

i love dressing snazzy.

but its not very Ron Paul Revolution to all do the same thing.

i agree, Im not one that dresses up unless its important or its forced, but whats more important my fashion sense or the cause. Sometimes you gotta dress the part.

Suits mid-summer in D.C.????

I think the policy should be "clothing optional.":D

July 12th. DC. You'll be dropping like flies wearing a suit.

Do you have any idea how humid it gets there? It can feel like someone whacked you in the chest with a shovel.

i think those who do dress nice for occasions probably will as they will want to look "good"

but anyone who has to buy clothes or dig into there drawers searchin for their court attire should just come as they are and not try to pretend to somethin there not

jmho

Log Cabin Republican dress code

Now when I get an invite from LCR it says business attire. It means please don't were your ripped jeans and your Johnny Ramone T-shirt. But the March will not be a lavish event. It will be fun, American, outside and in the middle of July. Business attire would be inappropriate.

I refuse to be someone I'm not just because other people think it "looks good." I do not dress up ...ever.

btw, there were already a bunch of threads on this...why ppl see the need to keep bringing it up is beyond me.

The only thing

The only article of clothing that should be mandatory is a tricorn hat. Other than that, if it feels good, do it!

I am not wearing a shirt, sorry. I'm from Arizona, and in the summer, I only wear a shirt when I have to. NOT outdoors.
