My dad reads these forums if he is here and I am online - he reads over my shoulder. He is 74 yr old and wants to vote for Fred Thompson. I have given him a million reasons not to, so finally I just shut up about it and let him alone. So now he is reading messages over my shoulder every once in awhile to find out what is keeping me so riveted to my computer screen all the time!!

My mom is also 74 and WAS backing Thompson because she had heard some pundit say that Dr. Paul was going to stop social security and Medicare!!! Took a bit of convining and getting her in front of my computer to see a couple of video to convince her that this was not the case - that he wants to phase them out, not just end them. Now she won't watch FAUX news because she sees them as having 'lied' to her and has made me promise to get her to the polls on primary day to vote for Ron Paul!!!

I can't image Ron has time to read this forum. He is still a working Congressman on top of campaigning for president.

He may see a few things when he's at a HQ meeting, and somebody calls a noteworthy thread to his attention.
