It seems like killing the Fed is our first priority. Where on the list does Barr rank it?

He doesn't even mention it on his website. Im guessing he ranks it pretty low, or doesn't even want to abolish it.

not a word on his website about it and ive never heard him mention it which leads me to believe he is for the fed

It's probably a good thing that he has not anathematized the Fed like RP has done. It will mean we won't have to groan when he talks for 1 minute and 30 seconds about the Fed and inflation when asked about health care.

How could it be a good thing?

The point of LP presidential campaigns is to spread the message to the masses. If Barr is not spreading the message, the campaign is completely pointless.

The abolish the fed message is especially important considering our tanking economy and the upcoming depression. People are going to be looking for answers and solutions. Someone needs to tell the masses about the fed.

Bob Barr said it on that interview with Glenn Beck. He is , like all libertarians, for sound money and getting rid of the fed and income tax. He's not for fair tax.

Much as I dislike the Fed, I think there are better ways of spreading the message of liberty than by talking about the Fed to the point of excluding other subjects more easily grasped.

Eliminating the Fed would be an important component to a successful reform of government, but it would not be the end-all-be-all that RP's allotment of time would suggest.

Perhaps Bob Barr could achieve more in his campaign if he spoke about issues that are already familiar to voters, but framed them in a libertarian sense.

Saying the right sounding things in an interview or debate to appeal to the masses is one thing, but not even having it listed on the issues on your campaign website is another. The Fed is the root cause of all our problems. If we don't get rid of it the rest is just busy work.

In an interview with Gregory Corso and Allan Ginsberg in 1961, William S. Burroughs states: "To concern yourself with surface political conflicts is to make the mistake of the bull in the ring, you are charging the cloth. That is what politics is for, to teach you the cloth. Just as the bullfighter teaches the bull, teaches him to follow, obey the cloth." Corso asks, "Who manipulates the cloth?" To which Burroughs answers, "Death."

yeah, he must talk about it. He's a lightning rod, sent to distract us if he doesn't hate the Fed. Ron Paul does NOT drone on about it. He remdinds everyone, the discussion isn't, what can the government do to lower prices and make things more affordable, it is, what can the government do to stop making them too expensive! Bob Barr doesn't mention that, ever. We must tell him in a big way, if he wants our canvasing and phone banking, he better learn a lot of rhetoric, real quick.
