I smoke. It's really addicting lol. I quit before, but it's this thing that keeps pulling me back in. Someone offered it to me at my last job, so I took the bait AGAIN, unfortunately, and I'm now I'm paying the price :( in more ways than one. I fucking hate it. I hate it because I can't function without it, I feel so bad when I don't have my fix grrrrr I hate it to no end.

please, tell me bad things about smoking. show me videos....SCARE ME!!!!!!!!!

Too bad 'Bodies: The Exhibit' wasn't still in NYC... I think you would have liked it (and freaked out) when they showed the BLACK LUNGSSSSS.

Muahahaha. I'll get some good scientific pictures for you... :D

Yup, I enjoy tobacco.
I prefer good cigars, but can't afford them. They are a nice treat now and again.

I presently roll my own to save money. Had to twist one up for this thread.
I quit twice in my life, for over a year each time, and at the urging and advice of others.
I started again, not because of addiction, but because I enjoy tobacco.

Anyone can quit if they want to. You just have to really want to.

SCLC often starts in the bronchi near the center of the chest, and it tends to spread widely through the body fairly early in the course of the disease. The cancer cells can multiply quickly, form large tumors, and spread to lymph nodes and other organs, such as the bones, brain, adrenal glands, and liver. This is important because it means that surgery is rarely an option (and never the only treatment given). Treatment must include drugs to try to kill the widespread disease.

Small cell lung cancer is almost always caused by smoking. It is very rare for someone who has never smoked to have small cell lung cancer.

I, too, enjoy tobacco. I have never tried to quit. I would like to try growing my own.

I hate it also. I gave up drinking, can't seem to kick the smoking. BLAHhH..every day I cough. I consider it bordom rather than addiction. If I am working I dont' even think about it. It takes a toll on the lungs. I even smoke Carltons and try not to inhale too much...still hack like I got a hairball. TONES (not to mention it's dang expensive)

Me too.
Have been doing some research into it and there are some varieties that may work in my area.
Short growing season, clay soil, etc.
Hemp would still be the best crop if only that were possible.:(

When younger I grew hemp. Quite successfully if I may say so. Smarter than that now!
I may try some tobacco this fall, too hot here in summer I suspect. (S. Tex)

No, but I have a smoker's cough from my parents chain smoking every day all day when I lived with 'em ;)

We're jokers, we're smokers..are we midnight tokers? (not I ) TONES

Seen people walking around with an oxygen tank attached to them? How about the guy who had a hole cut in his throat from cancer- and now he has to cover the hole with his finger to be able to talk to you? Cigarettes are the number one cause of premature death and disease for both men and women. But that won't happen to me. I'll quit before then. I quit all the time. Except if you quit all the time you did not quit.

My pants caught on fire once. I was too busy trying to extinguish the fire to notice if I was smoking. One can assume, though.

Yup, and I knew a young man that died of throat cancer at 25.
He had never smoked or used tobacco in any way.

My grandfather smoked till his death at 76. Did it harm him? or was it being Gased in the trenches in WWI, He spent 6 months recovering from that.
Maybe working in the Steel Mills before unions shortened his life and it had nothing to do with tobacco.

Who Knows?
